Hi Kathy, The adlanpdro terms of service address this issue. But essentially you are not legally "spammming", or UCE (unsolicited commercial e-mail).. How ever...let's say I have a forum about "Family Pet Photo's" and an individual comes along and posts ads for "bubble gum". That is off topic and against the Adlandpro TOS. This seems more like an issue where you may breaking Adlandpro's TOS (Terms of Service) and forum post ettiquette. As Sharon states, there are quite a few forum owners who all ads in thier forums. PS: You can post on topic in any forum and advertise anything you want in your signature file. That way you can get advertising free while not causing any problems for others in thier forums. Jason

Hi Kathy,

There are two things that irk me a tad.  One is receiving a 'be my friend' invitation which is just an ad for their business.  For so long I've thought oh well, perhaps they're new and don't know any better, and ADL is quite a learning curve when you first start.

The second, people blatantly advertising in a forum that has nothing to do with the subject.  We all learn and grow every day, and when someone does this, there's no point being tied up in knots about it.  Best to just inform them that it's not appropriate and move on.

I like you too and find value in some of your information that you share so willingly! I pat you on the back for that - it is appreciated.

I'm in agreement with Sharon - I am new to Adland..... and maybe I've crossed the line myself (although I try not too) - however - I think that to advertise in forums that are NOT geared for advertising is unprofessional and rude.

Also - a much better way to handle sharing tips with us on a daily basis would be for you to make use of Word throughout the day - make note of the days finds and information you wish to share and send us ONE forum thread for the day with "Kathy's Daily Tip and links for April 29th".

Getting 5-10 forum threads a day in my email box ALL from you is TOO much like Spamming without thought and consideration..... and personally I've got to deleting them unread as I find there are so many. When I have time I know I can jump to your forum and catch what I have missed.

Kathy - I hold you high in my list of contacts - but in my opinion "a polishing up and a more professional approach should be worth considering!"
