Hi Max, John Here, Thank you for sharing your own experience, and yes you are quite right about children being invovled. My ex has had no contact with our children, she never was the maternal mother to them I'm sorry to say, so once our marriage was over, the children never received birthday or christmas presents from their mother. They suffered terribly because of this over the years, and yes I myself overcompensated by sacrificing much to ease that pain for them. Alas I cannot replace the love they should have been getting from their mother. All I could do was make sure they certainly had all of mine.
