Re: My Conclusion on Paypal Randomizer

Hi Arild; Arild said; David my friend, the sad thing is that some people are negative, and maybe have no success.. Arild, that is very, VERY true. Many times, it is our attitude and the choices we make that must change before our circumstances do. With the right attitude, the next thing is education. And education does not always come from school. Most often, it comes from rolling up our sleeves and doing. Very good comment. : ) Linda

Yes Linda, Arild does make a good point. However to consider this thread negative, in my opinion, would be wrong. You see, even if one person is saved from wasting their money and time on something that has a high probability of failure... isn't that a positive thing? To me the $5 is virtually immaterial. It is the "kick in the head" they get from being conned or tricked that is the sad thing. We have all wasted time on false promises made by shysters in the past. The lost hope is also something that affects people negatively. It becomes just another crack in their armour as they realize that yet another thing that they were hoping would work is just another waste of valuable time. The wasted money is also added insult. Anyway, let's move on. I agree with David that we should be trying to find things that DO work. That certainly would be positive - on many counts. And just to round out... Thanks Cheri for the compliment. I can be a bit liberal with my use of unusual words from time to time. (I do a lot of reading). When I typed it ("perspicacious") I hesitated, went back and deleted it then put it back in. I figured that if anybody needed to consult a lexicon (oops - LOL!) then that too would be a positive thing. Glad you liked it. Gary Simpson

Hey Gary ================================= Yes Linda, Arild does make a good point. However to consider this thread negative, in my opinion, would be wrong. ================================= Oh - I don't consider this THREAD negative at ALL. It's fantastic, actually. And I agree, if it prevents even one person from making a mistake (or losing their paypal account) - that's a bonus. I do think that some people have negative attitudes that affect everything they do. And, there are people who will NOT admit they've made a mistake, no matter how clear it is to everyone else. They'll continue to flush time and money down the loo because it's preferable to saying maybe they were wrong. When ego gets in the way of wisdom, that's a form of negativity, too. But the thread.... heck no, it's not negative... it's great. lol : ) Linda

Hi Gary, I enjoyed your vernacular also :-) I agree with Linda. This is not a negative forum.

perspicacity n 1: intelligence manifested by being astute (as in business dealings) [syn: shrewdness, astuteness, perspicaciousness] 2: the capacity to assess situations or circumstances shrewdly and to draw sound conclusions [syn: judgment, judgement, sound judgment, sound judgement]

lexicon n 1: a language user's knowledge of words [syn: vocabulary, mental lexicon] 2: a reference book containing an alphabetical list of words with information about them [syn: dictionary]

vernacular adj : being or characteristic of or appropriate to everyday language; "common parlance"; "a vernacular term"; "vernacular speakers"; "the vulgar tongue of the masses"; "the technical and vulgar names for an animal species" [syn: common, vulgar] n 1: a characteristic language of a particular group (as among thieves); "they don't speak our lingo" [syn: cant, jargon, slang, lingo, argot, patois] 2: the everyday speech of the people (as distinguished from literary language)

kinda highbrow, this forum Bob
