Just wanted to poke my head in to point this out...

Hi: Hope you don't mind me plucking this out of your post, Gary... it's mostly for the benefit of the lurkers out there, and for anyone that's ever hesitated to post, too. ; ) Gary said; ==================================== I won't "shoot you down." I know what that is like. Some other forums that I have had experience on have members of their population who exist only to criticize and denigrate other people. ...(snipped)... I'm glad to see that such a thing does not happen here. ==================================== I've experienced that too, at other places - and right here at Adland, too - and that's why I wanted to post this. I've been asking questions since I could speak. I think it's healthy, fun, and it's how we all learn. Not just to learn facts, but to learn perspectives, experiences and how others feel, too. Sadly, there are people in this world that act as if they are being persecuted when they are asked a question or disagreed with. I won't tolerate that here. So, everyone here can rest assured that they are VERY welcome to share their opinions, (even if they are opinionated like me - lol) share their experiences, ask questions and answer questions - and no one will "shoot them down" here. Discuss, yes... be obnoxious, no. Should that ever happen, the post by anyone who shows nasty temperament will be deleted in a heartbeat. All opinions and experiences are welcome, and there is no such thing as a dumb question. Just so everyone knows. : ) Linda Getting off the soapbox now....

My Conclusion on Paypal Randomizer
11/9/2005 1:03:50 AM
Hi again: What a fun thread. My goal was to try to show whether Paypal Randomizer is a good way to make profit. A couple of pertinent things; 1) As Winston pointed out (bold/caps because this is important) - PAYPAL RANDOMIZER IS IN VIOLATION OF PAYPAL TERMS Winston said; Just out of curosity, I had a look while on paypal this morning. http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/gen/ua/use/index_frame-outside&ed=rich_quick "You may not use PayPal to send or receive payments for any form of multi-level marketing programs (including online payment randomizers), as well as matrix, pyramid and Ponzi schemes, "get rich quick" scheme, or other similar ventures" I wonder if people would think "Ah, it's just $5..." if they got their paypal accounts shut down for participating and lost any money they had in paypal. 2) I have contacted several people that have the randomizer link in their sig file to ask them if they were making money. Most did not reply. Two came out even or made $5. The only person that says he made any money is Arild, and it's not a very significant amount of money for the time invested. I don't know about wages anywhere else, but I could make more flipping burgers or ringing through groceries. (that's just MY opinion) 3) Perhaps most of all - because the program itself is in violation of Paypal terms and services, anyone PARTICIPATING is also in violation of Paypal terms and risks getting their paypal account shut down. Those three lead me to the conclusion that the Paypal Randomizer is NOT a good way to make a profit online. If you see anyone promoting it, feel welcome to send them a link to this thread. Maybe one person at a time, we can educate people. If we can help even one person to *not* get their account shut down because they *didn't know* it will be worth the few minutes it took to say something. The link to give them is this; http://community.adlandpro.com/forumShowPost.aspx?PostID=187263 : ) Linda P.S. Feel welcome to tell me if you agree or disagree with my conclusion. I don't bite.

Hi Linda, For me, Winston takes the prize for the most valuable post in this thread. His research and comments are irrefutable. You cannot argue with black and white FACT! What we have been verbosely wrestling with for several days was dealt with conclusively and succinctly by him. Pretty much that was the end of the story. The rest of us just bantered on a bit more. So, well done Winston! And Linda, I'm glad you chimed in with the posting comment. I have seen forums fall apart from sniping. This one is too valuable for that. You? Opinionated? LOL! Gary Simpson

Hi Gary! Sadly, some simple research like that if people would just take the time to do it would help them avoid 90% of the scams that are out there these days. This thread has been an interesting read and I've been following along closely. It's nice to see people express their opinions without all the hellabaloo that you normally see in other forums out there when it comes to the topic of mlm companies. Especially when the name Amway is involved. They are always a hot topic. [And mentioning Amway, were you aware that Jay Van Andel (co-founder of Amway for those not familiar with him) passed away earlier this year?] Something that amuses me is when people talk about failure rates in the mlm industry. I often wonder what do they base that failure rate on?
