I saw this last night but was getting too tired to post!

We have a lot of "new" Americans in our family, my husband's parents and aunts and uncles came here in the late 1950's from the Netherlands/Indonesia (they all grew up in Indonesia then moved to Netherlands then here) and my oldest brother's first wife and her family were from Portugal.  My nephew's wife is from Turkey.

I am a bit late here, but wasn`t online for a days ago. Yesterday and the day before, I have had an entrance examination for  University, and .... I was just lost in the woods.

Thanks for creating this place to celebrate a big day not only for USA.

I do consider myself as an American, just because BEING AMERICAN is much more than sociological, political and geographical definitions are able to say.

For me, USA is one INTELIGENT AND CREATIVE BLUEPRINT for a modern human being. After French bourgeois revolution ... and it`s opening the doors for human thinkers etc ... USA became this light in the mist, which enables mind and spirit to expend into higher levels, in search for an answer HOW HUMAN LIFE ACTUALLY IS ABLE TO MAKE THE SENSE.

With all my heart I WISH TO ALL AMERICAN CITIZENS, and specially to my dear and appreciated friends like you,
