Re: Reading is Obviously NOT Fundamental in Forums?

Hi Kathleen,

I understand where your are coming from.  Many people have bought into the myth that working from home is sitting back and letting the people who are doing something do all their work for them.  This is just pure laziness.

In order to succeed in an on line business one must set clear goals and strive to achieve them.  Despite the hype out there, the money does not just flow in just because one joins an affiliate site and then post some ads here and there.  It takes work, perseverance, and tact to succeed.

Furthermore, it is up to those of us who may be a little more seasoned in the business to educate the new arrivals.  Sometimes this education includes deleting their posts or maybe even blocking them from our friends list altogether.  These actions come only as a last resort after all other tactics have failed.

Don't get discouraged.  Having been a teacher for over 8 years, I know the frustration you are feeling when someone just seems to just not get it.  But in the end showing new comers (and dare I say some of the old timers too) what is acceptable behavior and what is not will ultimately pay off in the end.

Thanks for your posts,

Duane

I created the thread below about an hour ago, but now I'm wondering if it's too much to expect advertisers to visit someone else's site, and then also visit their own site and gather some bits of information before posting their own ad.

The worst that can happen is that each advertiser will get one visitor to look at their site.

HI Kathleen, First off, congratulations on building a 7,000+ strong AdlandPro network. I am pleased to be your friend and look forward to great exchanges in the future. I concur with Duane's comments above as well as your other contributors. Unfortunately, basic literacy skills are lacking through society. Coupled with laziness and just plain rudeness, is it any wonder why 95% of people who attempt online marketing do not succeed? True, audiovisual techniques and tactics are increasingly being used and exploited for marketing purposes. However, unless you really know what you're doing, it's just a fancy way of wasting your time. It always comes down to relationship building. People who disobey forum rules and use strong arm tactics to push product are not worth the time of day. Stick to what works for you, stay literate, and prosper. Thanks. I Know Kathleen. I have a copy paste that I use for this.

Hello.

Please do not be offended as I have deleted your ad post in my Announcements forum.

Please read each of the forum owners instructions before you post your ads. There are many forums in Adlandpro that will allow you to post a ad. But in their proper categories.

I have one that you can use everyday if you would like to.

You can save the link and post everyday. Thank you for your understanding.

Hi Anamaria,

Thanks for the graphic!  Some people think retaliation is okay for something they did in the first place.  Anyway!  Thanks for visiting!
