Kathleen, Thank you for posting this. I had heard of this a little on the new's here, But did not know the full details.

These guys will stop at nothing. And if you think "Nobody would fall for this"!! You are wrong. A Good friend of mine has a Daughter who actualy fell for this. She told nobody until she was drained of all funds in her bank account. She felt she could make money and then tell her family of the wealth.

After she deposited her check and sent back money, The scammers also took what was left in her bank account by bankwire as they now had the account number.

Her bank replaced THAT Money,,But Not the check money as this was a signed bank check. She had to close that account and open a new one.

In order to fight these people,,You need even more money, so all is ended and these people are richer!!

Hi Kathleen, That was very nice of you to help us be aware of this scam going around. There must be a way these people can be prosicuted, I hope they are. I get scams sent to me and I just ignore them. We have to be on the lookout for these fraudulent activities. These scams hurt legitimate businesses, also. Your friend, Bruce

Good day Kathy, i must say that these kinds f knock off letters are all over the place, even here in San Diego's news reports scamming old ladys, the bottom line is so small to read and is usually in the back of those letters or on those checks. Good eye Kathy... Kudos.
