Hi Mary, Excellent idea to put these subjects in one place for easy reference. Thanks!

What I would like to see is a focus on good advertising.  People need to tell their prospects the BENEFITS of joining, the benefits for the customer, not the seller.

I would never leave here no matter how much personal crud is thrown about, because I have earned consistent money here, no matter what I advertise, because I focus on advertising.  I consistently earn large multiples of the money I invest here with Adlandpro advertising, AND with communicating with other members.  I track my outgo and my income each time I advertise.  People may have noticed my obsession with numbers earlier today, numbers provide a history and a reference for our past and futures.

If I was going to suggest one thing, it may be unpopular but here it is...cut out the "power" stuff and cut out the elections.  If we want to feature people, they can be featured in a forum about themselves without competition.  The elections bring out the nitty-gritty competition amongst people.  The "Power Member" titles bring out big ego in some people.  I've been an affiliate of Adlandpro Classifieds since 1998 but I've only been active here in the community for 1 year, and I've seen why it's sliding.  Too much personal stuff and not enough focus on the business of advertising.

I posted in Linda's forum that you mentioned: http://community.adlandpro.com/forums/thread/537453.aspx

Kathleen, I think we agreeded on the advertising issue. We just want people to do it properly which means not all over our discussion forums and hopefully not in our pm (administration says it is ok, but members get tired of it). Good to know you are happy here. I think that is the key, know why you are here and then find ways to make Adlandpro the place you want to be. This is from Mohatma Gandi--"Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony". Unfortunately, we have and will always have members who have one or more of these out of sinc. I continually see people speak of making this a friendly place and then turn around and make fun or point fingers at someone else. You will be pleased to know that Bogdan has some good plans for improving on the "power" bit here at Adlandpro. In order to get along we need to see ourselves as being on the same level playing field. We are all here learning and working our business. Personally, my cure is not to post on forums where the owner has a history of abuse of power. I can read their forums and not feel it necessary to post. Thus my reputation does not get matched with theirs. That is what keeps me happy.

Hello Mary, and hello to all others.

This is my first post to any forum here at Adlandpro, although I have been a member of Adlandpro for a number of years. For some reason I have never participated in the community project. I just found myself with a little extra time on my hands tonight and started lurking.

Since I have not been participating in here, I am not sure I can add much to this conversation as laid out but there is one thing regarding Adlandpro that I have a pet peave about.

I don't know if I am the only one who has a problem with this or not, but I wish that the ad boxes for the ppc ads had more control over the output size. I use a few of them on some pages on one of my sites, but since they are such an oddball size, I do not use them in near as many places as i would like to.

Am I the only one that this bothers?

Anyhow I plan to drop in here now and again as time permits.
