Hi Kathy,
John here,
You speak of unconditional love through friendship, and it is, after all as it states, no pre-disposed conditions to the perceived friendship. However the little gremlins of envy do lurk within a few petty minded amongst any group or community, and their target is always the successful, and the reason for this is that they cannot understand the fundamentals to being a success themselves, whether that is success in business or through relationships and friendships. The struggles for supremacy over others always interferes with there own individual perception of unconditional friendships, and they begin along that road of self-destruction by suddenly imposing conditions upon the friendships around them. People of this ilk are invariable loners, having no real friendships within their lives whether on the internet or not. Often they were the school bullies, as they move through life believing that they are in a position of power through bully tactics of the people around them. Many here at adlands have felt first hand these envy gremlins from the mindless few, who would sooner spend their time pulling others to pieces rather than building successful relationships or even a viable business, because they have neither the communication skills in the first place, or they simply love the acts of aggression towards others, as this gives them the attention they themselves seek. Often these types of people flock together in their bid to put others down, by simply ignoring them completely they have no power or hold over anyone, as they play their games to gain attention.
Learning to give is the basis of any friendship, ask not what your friends can do for you, ask instead what you can do for them, without any conditions attached. True friendships will be born from your heart, through trust and faith and by not telling others who they themselves should be friends with, as this puts conditions again into the friendship equation. Love your enemy’s as though they were your friends and you yourself will always be the better person.
Love and peace to all
