Hi Jonathan,
I have Incurable Clinical Depression. I am also a Naturapathic Physician and I have some answers to rising from depression. I have experienced it with the most intense symptioms and I know what it is like.
I felt helpless and hopless and I did not want to live because it was so horrible. I completely understand. I also know how to beat it.
What you have to think on is that your mind has so much power to be able to create this condition. Just as you can feel bad, there aslo is no limit to how good your mind can make you feel.
You must determine in yourself that you want to get better, because without the desire, you are just spinning your wheels to continue in this condition.
It is not your fault. Don't blame yourself. You have a right to feel better. It is alright to feel good without guilt and without conditions.
No one is placing demands on you. The love that our fellow Adlanders have shown you that people care about you. Now it is time to care about yourself.
Take small steps. Get up and open a window if you can and take deep breaths of fresh air.
Instead of telling yourself that you are depressed, change your self talk and tell yourself it is alright to feel better. Every day the sun comes up it is a new chance at a new life.
