Jonathan depression isn't weakness or stubborness.  It's a real sickness.   It could be a chemical imbalance.   So please seek the help of a doctor.

Hi Jonathon,

I walked  in your shoes my friend.If you have diabetes the Dr. puts you on insulin.Depression can be situational,brought on by stress, or a Chemical Imbalance.My advice is to see your Dr. Immediatly and go on some anti-deppression medicine right away.There is nothing to be ashamed of. If you had a cough you would take cough medicine.Once you are on the medication you will see the sunshine again.When this happens you can go for counseling,prayer groups,meditation, and a number of other things.In my opinion get on the medication,they have new ones out there that really work.Do it before it gets worse,then you can decide which route you want to take.May the Lord be With You,

Hello Jonathon,

Thank you LaNell, Dave for  the messages.

Depression, Demencia is a big problem of our western oriented lifestyle. Changes in life, work, friendship, neighbourhood, s
tress, etc, push us out of  the society and there is none to go to and get help for it. Doctors medicate and thats all. Medicines many times make things worse.

Have been working for more than 12 years with people having demencia I can say that all demencia deseases can be healed as long as we believe that we can defeate the desease. You must give it a try. You must believe in yourself.

Prychiaters are not recommended as they are more technocrats. Find a good curator talk with him your problems.

It is good you sent this message out. What you need to do is to brake the isolation. Make friends, take contact, diiscuss different subjects, keep away from negativity and the desease, visit nature, make promenades and walk, let your fantasy free, think of nice moments in your life. I do not recommend you to sit to much behinf the display and PC. The radiation is not good for you. A couple of hours maybe three is enough. And if you sit behind a PC then make pauses.

It is not easy from internet to say do this and that, but find something interesting to do, a hobby, be activated, fill your time with things you like to do. The more you think on your problem the worse it will be.

My mind and spirit will be there for you.

Warm Regards
Georgios

Dear Jonathan
I am so sorry to hear that you are so depressed you have taken to your bed;
What most of us here are saying is true - you must seek medical help.  It is true that you would feel better from moving around but I know that probably seems impossible at the moment, doesn't it? Anti depressant medication is the first step to actually getting you up and mobile - it really is one step at a time, and you must be really kind to yourself right now.  Imagine that your closest friend was ill and needed help.  You would try to do everything possible to ease their pain and help in any way you could.  So that is how you must try to treat yourself.
I have suffered from depression several times in my life; in the beginning I used to hate the idea of taking medication, but the last bout which was almost two years ago had me totally debilitated.  When I realised what was happening to me I started the meds and a couple of weeks later I felt able to look around me and take those first small steps that ultimately led to my recovery.  I still take my meds and I am quite happy doing so - I don't want to go back there again and there is no shame in taking care of your health.  All I am saying to you is see your Doctor and begin your recovery.  You will find that medication is actually one very small part of this- the rest will follow.  God Bless You
