Hello Dave,

I believe that a lot of racial problems would be solved if we could look at people as we look at ourselves - first as people and not their race, colour, creed or gender.  We hae no prejudice against ourselves.    We dont LIKE people for these factors - we like them for being themselves - so why should we dislike them for those reasons?

And while we may not be able to solve the problems - we can certain live our lives trying to overcome them - every little counts and someone has to make the first move!

Love
Jenny

Time for some facts and logic here. While people have NO control over the color of their skin, the shape of their eyes, their sex, which foot/hand is dominate and sexual orientation, they DO HAVE total control of their creed. Thus our liking, or disliking, someone due to their "creed" is NOT Racism. People can change their creed IF they so desire. Many who had been programmed by the Nazi's in the Hitler Youth, changed their creed. Many American's who WERE racists in the 1950's/1960's, have not only changed their creed, they are distressed they were ever racists. Many people like me, who were raised (programmed) to believe in one, or more, of the 30,000 plus gods humans have invented so far, no longer believe in them and have thus, changed our creeds. So when speaking of racism, creed should not be included. Neil

Dave, I don't know what promted this post-excellent by the way-but I am dealing with this silly stuff everyday.
It is hard enough to get through this life without the added burden of the added layer of worrying about someones skin color.
Peace and love to you.

Hi Jenny, We definitely could solve a lot of these problems if we could look at ourselves simply as people, like you say. The biggest reason we get all messed up in the who issue of racism is that we created the term, "race," in the first place, suggesting that there is somehow a difference between people based simply on colour. What an absolutely absurd idea!! People are people, regardless of skin colour, features, age, ethnicity, etc., and ONE race, the Human race. This has been proven genetically in the last decade or so via the science of genetics. If you go back far enough, you find that everyone is related, meaning that everyone originally comes from the same gene pool. One race... that's it. God bless, Dave

One last post from me on this topic-I must dis-agree with my lovely friend Jenny.
I have found that the people who spew out hate and undue criticism of others; invariably do hate themselves.
Just as love begins with the love of God and self-so do the other emotions and feelings.
Have a superb day everyone!
