Time for some more facts.
Before I get into them, since, while living and/or being stationed in the south, I put both my physical well being and even my life on the line during the late 1950's and the early 60's in support of black civil rights, I am certainly no racist.
While I am sure Joyce does face racism far too often, it may not be as often as she thinks it is. I say this as I frequently see things which some choose to see as being racist while others, OF ALL RACES, know were not really racist at all.
Too many people think some action taken against them was ONLY taken due to their when it had nothing to do with their race. Rather it was because those doing it would have SAID and/or DONE THE EXACT SAME THING not matter the race of the person they were in conflict with.
One of many examples is the present illegal aliens who flood our borders every day. Those who demonstrate against it and want better border security are called "racists" when race has NOTHING to do with it!
If those coming into our county illegally were blue-eyed blonds, we would still be raising hell about our borders NOT being secure!
And there is case after case when a black accuses one, or more whites of doing things they never did and sometimes about things which never even happened. Like the so-called "Duke Rape case"
Black leaders and the media jump all over things like this without doing the slightest investigation about it. The facts are NO rape happened and the accuser is a liar.
And the O.J. Simpson case is a example of black racism. Many blacks cared less what the facts of the case proved. To them, OJ was innocent ONLY because he was black.
The facts are MOST whites did not want O.J. to be guilty as he was one of our sports "Heroes" a movie actor and a popular figure. Most whites wanted someone else to be guilty only the facts proved it was OJ who brutally killed is former wife and a young man who was only returning some glasses she had left at the restaurant where he worked.
Just one example I have been involved in or have seen and/or heard happen is as follows.
I was on the bus when the Iraq war came up in conversation and I stated, based on the facts, the war was both fully justified and a necessary part of our war on terror.
So the Bus driver says: "That's white mans talk."
That IS most certainly a racist comment. Sadly, I hear comments of this type all to frequently.
Later, I asked black lady about
some other comment (wish I could
remember it now) the bus driver had said, if she thought it was a racist comment. She said it was and she also said she was very unhappy with the amount of racism blacks expressed about whites.
It had caused her problems as she would point to those saying them they were being racists.
Here in California, we just had nine Black teenagers found guilty of attacking and very severely beating (nearly killing one)
three girls for NO other reason than the girls they attacked were white!
Now, since this is "local" news, I have no idea if the media has
made this story known nation and/or world wide. I do know it would have been had it been some whites who had beaten up on three Blacks.
The Bottom Line? I would like to see more Blacks admit far too many Blacks are also racists.
