Hello Vererina,

Report scams at adland to Bogden.
People who do business with you will not send am email asking for your personal information. Neither will they send a link to theres site asking you to input information, like the many payment processor scams.
The people claiming to be bank emplyees are most likely in no way associated with the bank.
You will not win a lottery you have not entered.
It goes on and on. If it looks to good to be true it probably is.

Hello Venerina,

Thank you for caring us.  Here is another scam, I received many e-mails about  them: Somebody is contacting you from a foreign country, (at least this they say) telling, his/her company needs a "local representative" here in the US because they are expanding their market to North America.  They say, give your personal information and send a copy of your ID (!) to them for they can hire you.  They say, American customers receive their product  and the customers will send money for it to your address.  You take off ten percent of whatever money they send and you wire transfer the ninety percent to the "company."

I think it is not only ID theft, but maybe can be problem with the IRS too (they don't pay taxes after the products).

Dear Venerina, thanks for the warning, my Norton security progam takes care of these headaches for me. I find that I have to personally block the clever ones that try to get around the spam filitersthat my ISP has and as well as Norton's. I have personally reported to Ebay some of the spoof e-mails that I been recieving durring the past year. So I'm okay and very alert and ready to report lawbreakers. Lawrence Johnson

Good morning Ildiko,

That is a good one to be on the look out for ... and you've just jogged my memory about another one too .... related to business...

A company will write to you from China or Japan saying they are having problems collecting debts from buyers who haven't payed for the products that have been exported to x y z location in the world ... and if you would be interested in being their official "agent/representative" who is responsible for collecting the debts on their behalf.

When you reply to say "no", they continue to send you 1 on 1 personalised emails .... to try and convince you .....and then, eventually, they request all your company contact details and bank information.

It is a very slick set up and very convincing and believable.  The email address is linked to an official website in China and Japan.  I wrote to the company to determine whether it was an employee sending out this scam or a third party, I never received a reply.

So, please people just be aware that scams come in all shapes and sizes and all kinds of nasty disguises .... That very poetical for this time of morning!!! heheheheheheh

Have a great week
