Jen, Exactly right. I just read a post on another forum where the person gave a one line response and about 9 inches of ads. A pop up of that caliber would not get my attention......but you don't know til you click on it as the first sentence addressed the issue. Perhaps Bogdan can make some changes on the location. That is what I am hearing the most here.

Hi It's COOL and also ANNOYING! Their's advantages to these shout-boxes! But they are very annoying when they pop-up in front of my work and have to click on the X to get it out of my way! I strongly believe that Adland owners should put the shout-box on the left side and make it long not width as it goes in our work. Otherwise they would be great for everyone... thanks to the invite! Well, I was really confused by them when they first started popping up--I thought someone was IM'ing me! Then I just got annoyed, because this used to be a safe haven from popups, etc. When I'm here I'm trying to do something and it's a real problem when the popup appears in the middle of my typing, forcing me to stop, glance (which is the point) and close. Is this an Adlander feature only or does everyone have this capability?

Hi Mary, Although I am done with this particular topic I can't help myself and write more.. ;) Your opinion in your forum about forum posting matters more because it's your forum. If it was in someone elses forum I would of course not feel the need to go away. :) Here's another view on the popups: I have found a few times now that I would want to click on it to go to the forum in question, but I can't because I'm not done with what I do. Next time I see a popup I'll rightclick it and see if I can open it in a new tab or window. Haven't seen one in a while though. :)
