Hi, Mary
Thought I'd come back after a few days of living with the pop-ups and change my vote. They no longer bother me, so I guess it's just a matter of what you're used to.
It is fun to watch in real-time a thread you're participating in, and the rest I just ignore if I'm working at something that takes concentration, or glance at briefly to see if it looks like something I might want to know more about.
One big advantage I can see is that if you pay attention to what catches your eye, you'll learn by example and know how to post in the first sentence of your new threads to get participation. I'm hoping I can learn to make my writing more lively, not so dry.
Cheri
PS, Careful following the link when you're in the middle of something, though. You have to hit the back button to recover your work if you do. I'd prefer to see it open in a new window.
