My personal experience has proven to me, that a personal message or face to face contact is the best method for finding referrals........

All of the ad blasters......opt in lists.......free classifieds,  etc..........are , for the most part a waste of time........you might get a stray referral once in a while .....but most of these people that use these methods are looking for referrals of their own......not to join your opportunity...........

 

This is all great advice! I would like to add one thing that, to me, is a key factor in making any business a success, be it network marketing or just retail sales. That is, listen for them to give you a need. If you just have a conversation with someone and you listen well, you will pick up on a need that they will freely tell you about. This is what you will focus on. How many conversations do you have with people that they don't mention something about needing more income, not happy with their job, their boss, things like this. This is your cue! Once you get to the point that they offer this information, you have gained their trust and you should focus on how you are able to fill the need they have implied, rather than how to fill your pocket, which a lot of business people seem to focus on. While this fact may be of importance in building your business, it will be short lived without first fulfilling the need of the customer and to do so, you must listen to find the need. Just my 2 cents worth.

Well first of all I don't think you get recruits so much as you provide value first and they will seek you out.  We are problem solvers and are looking for people who need our help and have the desire and willingness to make a serious committment to solving their problems.  This is a business of servanthood.  2 of the greatest skills I have been taught in prospecting are asking questions and listening.  Master those skills and genuinely care about people and success is just a matter of time. 

Recruiting is all about helping people. If you make prospects feel they are going to be a part of a community that will grow toward their goals together and support each other, they'll want to join your business. Most of us have been burnt once or twice, so suspicion needs to be overcome and trust established. Many recruiting methods work. It seems to be a matter of timing and testing for me. The business I'm in has a very low entry price to get started, so recruits have little to lose. First, I sell them my integrity, then a system for success with ample support. That's it. No magic bullet or lofty promises. Honesty works best.

A good place to start would be forums. Go to as man y forums as you can. You do get responses .Some are positive and some are negative but you do get feedback. The only catch is you have to active so people could remember you.
