HI everyone. This is my first post since I just joined this forum today. I am a beginner network marketer just going on my second month. I'm still doing it part-time after my normal job and my first goal is to earn the same amount as my day job. My first check after 2 weeks was a little over $700.
All I did was to follow the advice of my upline who has maxed out the compensation plan. I decided to go to him for advice since he is making over a million dollars a year. I promised to do everything I can and proved to him that I was teachable, so he agreed to help me. My company just opened in my country so we have no tools, no brochures, no DVDs, no meetings and no office so it's not all that easy. In fact, we can't even retail the products here as it's pre-grand opening, so we only concentrate on finding leaders, although I do have some customers that live in the US, where we are allowed to retail. So big opportunity, difficult task.
We use an online webcast and just have people listen to one of them. That's it. Initially I don't talk for more than 20 seconds to my prospects. 90% of them at least take a look and a percentage of them always join. The only time they don't is when I try to explain things in detail. I'm sure there are many ways to get prospects and recruit. I've tried online marketing, affiliate marketing, and other methods. I noticed that the fastest way is to just do what your upline is doing, as long as he is successful with it. Whatever method you choose, the most crucial step is to take action as soon as possible. I think it's a great idea to learn different methods and there are a lot of ways to recruit, however if it's new, learning takes time. So while you learn new ways to recruit, why not work on ways that others in your company are having success with. If your direct upline is not much help, keep going up until you find one that will help. There are always leaders that are successful who are more that willing to help in successful network marketing companies.
Hope that all made some sense. Good luck with your recruiting efforts!
