Re: What turns you off enough to make you leave a website?

Hey Winston, That's pretty much what I meant to say. If we can put ourselves in the place of those we are seeking to find, then we can see what we are offering from their perspective. We definitely want to offer what others are seeking... 'cause, you're right... they only care about what they need... and rightly so! Our job as marketers is to make our products and services available to those who are seeking what we offer. Win - win!

Hi again Gary, It is interesting that each of us has our own beliefs, which creates our reality - and that is perfect. We are all different, having different experiences. What you state as a "fact" is indeed a fact for YOU, based on your beliefs... but may not be a fact for someone else with a different set of beliefs. I honor and respect your personal beliefs and experiences.

Linda M I understand what you are saying. Maybe we are talking across purposes here. I agree with this bit: ===================== "It is interesting that each of us has our own beliefs, which creates our reality - and that is perfect. We are all different, having different experiences." ===================== But I am somewhat at odds with you on this bit: ===================== "What you state as a "fact" is indeed a fact for YOU, based on your beliefs... but may not be a fact for someone else with a different set of beliefs." ====================== I was talking in a macro sense, not micro. I'll give you an example... Let's say that somebody does not believe in the physics of gravity. They climb onto a roof then jump off "believing" that they will fly. We all know that such a person would fall and probably injure themselves - even though they "believed" that they would fly. With respect to my belief on what I said... The amount of trash on the internet is undeniable. Sure, you can ignore it but it is still there. Hence, my comment. Finally, ================= "I honor and respect your personal beliefs and experiences." ================= Thank you - and I yours. Gary PS: I noted with interest in my local newspaper last week that some arm of the US Government has rejected an idea put forward that all porn sites be suffixed with "dot triple x" (ie dickanddora.xxx instead of dickanddora.com). Pity.

Spelling, SPELLING, Spelling. I did not notice that mentioned yet. If it was then I need better glasses. Nothing turns me off or causes me to lose all interest as quiclky as something with lots of spelling errors. I sent messages to over 10 different adlanders today pointing out spelling mistakes in their info. YES. I was bored.
