Miguel, I guess that would be the case. The feeling of isolation amidst beauty is unmatched in snowy conditions. The fact that fast escape on foot is impossible is part of it. Despite the sting in the nose the air feels so incredibly clean. The nearest to your local conditions that I have encountered have been in horticultural greenhouse where humidity is more than I am used to. Why I raised this is that it is fascinating to know what a particular image means to somebody else. When you next view this artist's stunning winter scenes think about this freezing isolated feeling. I wonder if he painted outside? To record and remember these scenes to paint in a studio later is a special skill. I am in awe of artists like this the longer I try to paint.
