I thought that might stimulate a response - putting Robin Hood in with the "robbing Peter to pay Paul" concept that we have been discussing. ========================= Robin Hood was said to steal from the rich and give to the poor. ========================= Linda, I'm glad you qualified that popular belief by including the words "was said." I watched a documentary on the so-called "Prince of Thieves" a couple of weeks ago. It disputed the popular legend and accused good old Robin of being just another robber robbin' whoever he came across to further his own desires. Rob from the rich and give to the poor. Indeed! A nice fanciful notion if ever there was one. If Robin considered himself poor then all he was doing was stealing for himself which is probably closer to the truth. Isn't that what happens in all these pyramid scams? Get in, take what you can then get out quick? The legalities of it are merely a technicality to those who profit but a real point of contention to those who lose their money. Think about that. Gary Simpson

--------------------------------------------- Robin Hood was said to steal from the rich and give to the poor. Pyramids take money away from the poor more often than not. ---------------------------------------------- Ah but Robin only gave away enough of a pittence (of riches take from them to start with) to the straggle the poor along and keep them on his side! Who really became wealthy? Maybe! Just Maybe! Robin is alive and well and making a fortune on the internet these days! :-)

Winston, There's plenty of robbin' goin' on on the Internet. That's for sure. That's why these threads are so popular. Look at the hits they get. People can get to read both sides of the equation and make of them what they will. Information is what it is all about here. Gary Simpson PS: I liked your comments over on the MLM discussion forum. I just posted a reply over there.

Re: Auto-Surf program - Honestly :-)

OK This should show everyone how unstable these programs are. =================== I noted this morning that EstrixSurf is closing down ==================== I was just invited yesterday to join that program. The person inviting me said they where making a lot of money with it. Last week I would have jumped on it because this person is someone I trust. Since getting involved in this forum I no longer do the auto-surf thing so it turns out that you all saved me some money. Thanks everyone! :-)

Hi Arthur, I believe what we are promoting here, rather than rubbishing things as some believe, is a concept known as "due diligence." Do the homework rather than follow the lemmings. You said: ===================== "Last week I would have jumped on it because this person is someone I trust." ===================== Even persons of trust can be wrong. There is no reason not to trust this person again. Maybe they just didn't have the foresight to come to places like this and read an alternate viewpoint. That is what we discuss here. Other forums are so full of bland "pat you on the back and make you feel good" stuff that they are virtually meaningless in content. Linda's forum is not like that. Here we discuss issues not egos. I'll probably make myself unpopular for saying that. Humph! As I have said many times in the past - each person will do what they believe is correct for their own personal circumstances anyway. What we are providing is information. And judging by the "views" plenty of people are reading it. Gary Simpson
