Hi Arild,
You are spot on my friend.
I spent nearly 10 years trying to make network marketing pay. I reached a very significant level but the income was never able to overtake the expenditure. And that was without allocating even 1 cent per hour to my time.
When I did the mathematics I proved that 0.3% were the ones making the money while 99.7% lost money. Not co-incidentally, the ones making the money were also the ones that started the scheme plus a few select friends who they surrounded themselves with for a bit of what I call "insulation."
But with respect to the Paypal Randomizer - I don't even like the connotation of the name. To me, that seems to suggest that people who work hard at it may not get rewarded while those who sit and do nothing may be rewarded.
Arild, you mentioned:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"my obligation to my teams and friends"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That is a significant lever that these schemes use. They pitch the "loyalty" issue at every turn - look after your team, downline, upline etc. It's all part of the control measures.
There is one thing that ALL network marketing companies use that is positive. They all promote books, tapes and functions where distributors are exposed to some of the finest motivational authors and speakers. That was one of the origins of my own website. So I am thankful for that.
I am just wary of all these schemes now. I put in a massive effort with network marketing over 10 years. I know, first hand, the effort required.
Sorry Linda, I'm not hijacking the forum on you. LOL!

PS: Arild, thank you for your compliments on my writing. I appreciate that.
