Hi Peter, I have missed being here the last several days and I rarely miss a day logging in here but as you and several of my other friends know, I have been gone on a house hunting trip to south Florida because I have sold my villa here in Tennessee, and very quickly, I might add. It sold in three weeks in this down market and I was truly amazed and so until I can close on another place in Florida I will be homeless here very soon but these old bones can't take these brutal Tennessee winters anymore. That is my main reason for moving so far away from my family. One of my good friends told me I was getting adventurous in my old age. :) I absolutely LOVED the first Allen West video. Here is a man who certainly knows how to tell it like it is and he most assuredly hit the nail on the head.
Yes these five sentences certainly hit the nail on the head. God gives us choices and a free will, which is the difference between a human being and an animal who lives on instincts and I am sure that everyone has heard the saying God helps those that help themselves and I agree that learning to live within our means is part of that equation. I feel embarrassment when those who find it so easy and have no shame in asking and who keep sticking their hands out for whatever they can get, time and time again. What a shameful way to treat friends.
Shalom Quote: Hello Friends,
Yesterday i read these 5 sentences over at the Patriot Action Network and have to agree that they most definitely hit the nail on the head. I'm not sure that those that embrace progressive socialism and are waiting for their handouts and redistribution of other people's wealth won't like it very much. We all know those that find it easy to keep their hands out for whatever they can get and have no shame in asking for it time and again.
Living within our means is a requisite that doesn't need justification nor qualification and I'm constantly amazed that there are still so many that simply don't get it.
Shalom,
Peter
These are possibly the 5 best sentences you'll ever read: 1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. 2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. 3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. 4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it! 5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.
