Hi again Kim!

Really great input from you, thanks. Yes, "introvertism" isn't so clearly defined by black and white, there are a lot of grey areas which can put you back into the "extroverted" mould for a short visit, if you get what I mean. My wife says I prefer my own company, but she says a lot of things... (quitting while I'm ahead here!)

Yes John, I get it!  Interersting subject...I have shared the feeling many others have..."Hey I'm not an introvert because I'm not shy and all enveloped in myself!"  But when I learned this one thing I understood all so much better....that Introverts get their life energy or filling or whatever from "inside" their own selves and Extroverts get it from people around them.   I Love people more than just commonly and love to talk and meet people etc...but enjoy my time with me and my thoughts immensely!  Which causes me to think of another good subject...but Oh no...I'm not telling...you'll have to find it in my forum!  ha ha!  But I have to write it first...in between Algebra!  But I will very soon...I think you all will like it too...............See ya,  Kim

Hi John and Kim,

Thanks Kim for writing this very thoughtful explanation.  It makes so
much sense and I can very much identify and understand that - yep
I am an introvert, who loves talking with different people in a small
group whether I have just met them or they are old friends.  - But I do
enjoy my own company and often cannot wait to leave these parties
or group meetings etc to get home to the sanctuary of peace and
quiet and the safe and secure feeling of being home with my husband
away from the maddening crowd.

Hi Amanda

"Exactly!" I think also if you're a bit laid-back (introverted) people think, what's wrong with him/her, they seem too peaceful, we can't have this, come on, get with it...
