Dear Dimi,
Thanks for coming back. I hope you read my response to Anamaria :) ...
It is very interesting how all things come to their place at the right time. Since I am at Adland .... I read more poetry than my entire life.
I do not pay too much attention on the horoscope, but Branka thinks that the horoscope just describes main points of personality for each sign. For the Capricorns, it says that we are stubborn, and I really agree with it.
I am very stubborn to find my own way. It is not easy when your model (in this case my mother) is very good in lot of things. OK, she doesn`t drive the car and the airplane :) ... but all other ... she knows very well. I think if parents cann`t see the competition, which their kids unconsciously try to win, they fail.
My, to say "broken" family, is aware of that competition, and we have a big fun keeping it .
Instead to enjoy in Chopin or ..... anyone else, MY CHOICE WAS LOL LOL LOL EMINEM!!!!
Eminem - I believe for, at least, two reasons. First - he really can be the rest of life at the TOP of the TOP LISTS ... but he really has not too much in a common with musics.
His language is ......... not too much pleasant, but look all around! What can you hear all around?
Constatinos Cavafy? Eminescu? No, EMINEM!
Just wished to say ... BEATING AROUND THE BUSH, I finally MUST admit that I enjoy Chopin, Strauss, Beethoven ....... and of course ........ Eminescu and Cavafy. And my Mom, when will read this will say: "I knew it. That`s LOL LOL LOL .... of course, JUST NORMAL"!
Dimi, I have learned about Constatinos Cavafy, and this one poem was one of my English lessons:
The Satrapy
What a misfortune, although you are made
for fine and great works
this unjust fate of yours always
denies you encouragement and success;
that base customs should block you;
and pettiness and indifference.
And how terrible the day when you yield
(the day when you give up and yield),
and you leave on foot for Susa,
and you go to the monarch Artaxerxes
who favorably places you in his court,
and offers you satrapies and the like.
And you accept them with despair
these things that you do not want.
Your soul seeks other things, weeps for other things;
the praise of the public and the Sophists,
the hard-won and inestimable Well Done;
the Agora, the Theater, and the Laurels.
How can Artaxerxes give you these,
where will you find these in a satrapy;
and what life can you live without these.
Constantine P. Cavafy (1910)
I MUST RUN OFF TO THE SCHOOL NOW!
Dimi, I wish you a very good luck at JPA poll !!!
HOPE TO SEE YOU BACK!
Love,
Luka
