Hello Thomas and everyone else!
Well... who are best friends? Generally husband and wives... Mother and Daughter, Parent and Child, Father and Son.... Siblings can be real good friends or just the opposite! Funny how that works!
Some are even pretty good friends with those on the other side... I'm listening to Steve Godfry on the radio who is a medium and communitcates to the callers what their loved ones (spirits) need to tell them.... (i'm not sure if i spelled his name correctly) but he has a web site that explains a bit more about it. It is uncanny when he is right on with delivering a message and knowing names etc...
As a single mother living in different communities when my kids were growing up, I found it hard to make friends sometimes. I would meet other single moms and we parented differently or just dressed our kids different. Little things. But some of my best friends are from those years. One in particular. Her children were mostly grown and she was living in the same community I was and we would take a community college class together and meet with friends afterwords to go out for a bit... have a drink that sort of thing. It was nice. and we talked.... She lives in another state and I miss her and neither of us have a car or can visit the other and she doesn't have a phone. And... i think she moved because I've not gotten a return to any letter in years...
Recently I got back in touch with my school years friend, Cindy, and have gotten all caught up for the most part.... actually, we've both learned things about those young years of our lives that the other didn't know.... It would be great to visit but I don't know if or when... but we have Yahoo messenger! and funny fwd's and it is so good to have Cindy back!
There was a third friend and we all hung out together (not the most popular but that wasn't cool then to be popular! LOL) but haven't gotten back in touch with her since 1980 ~ I guess... not much in common when I talked to her last so ... she isn't on Classmates.com as yet .... so....
so, some friends come and go... some you miss more than others.... Someone once told me that if you ever have one good friend in your one lifetime... that you are very fortunate. Then I have been blessed because I have had more than one true friend in my lifetime....
and I'm meeting new folks all the time!
Keep the door open! Beth
