Re: THE UNPARDONABLE SIN
10/1/2007 6:05:56 PM

Original Sin: Ezekiel 18:20 teaches there is no original sin; each person is responsible for his own actions and will be judged accordingly. It was Jesus who pardon the old sin through Him and only through Him will you be pardon. 1Peter 3:21 says that baptism DOES save you through resurrection of Jesus Christ. Acts 2:38 teaches that sin is forgiven at baptism- one is saved at the point sin is forgiven.

Re: Forgiveness_ is it really that hard?

I was just reading Sue Lester's post, I'll tell you what happened to me a long time ago...someone I was very much in love with, asked me to marry him, then a few months later he suddenly dumped me and married another woman that he had only known for a short time...because she earned more money than I did.  Anyway, she cheated on him and got pregnant with her former boyfriend...HA!  Then they got a divorce just as quickly as they got married, then he came apologizing to me, BUT he had gotten her name tattooed on his chest.  Just the thought of being with him after that made me feel like vomitting.  I said I forgave him, he needed a partner with a good job at the time, but I couldn't forget...so it wouldn't work between us, I could never trust him or believe anything he said.

Thank you for sharing my friend which brings me to another point in forgiving, you see i forgive because its in my nature to as i have lost my old self when i was baptised 8 years ago, it isnt easy to forgive but when you do forgive that person just as you did your right you can never trust that person again, it would be like a Dog returning to its vomit, see i am part of this world but i am not of this world no longer, earning trust is a major point in ones lost relationships and when that happens you simply forget all over again, but you can ever be yoked with that person again as my Rabbi would say,, and again with Him i have freedom in Christ, i choose if i want to be friends with that person again and give a second chance? as the old saying goes wrong me once andits my fault , you wrong me again then its your fault. My advice to you is to move on when you know in your heart that it isnt going to work out and having a tattoo? well that can be araised with technology. God_be with you my friend. Thomas

Hi Thomas,

I had an experience twice of being molested by the same man and at the young age of 11 & 12 years old.  I felt in my heart at the time that I hated him, and maybe I did.  Well, I found out a few months later that hating him was eating me up inside.

I went down on my knees to say my prayers one night, and that was the moment I asked God to forgive me for hating.  I also prayed that he would help me to learn to get over what had happened, and to teach me how to forgive this man for doing this awful thing to me.

I heard the man was sick and dying, and asked my uncle to carry me to the prison.  I stood there watching him, and just could not hate him any longer.  I still don't know when I forgave him, but I guess I had.  I only felt sorry for him.

Beryl, thank you for sharing with us of your terrable trauma you suffered from this terrable man, Hate is a strong word and can mean a veriety of things depending on what andwho it is directed to and for what reason, hate is an emotion and we as humans have that inside us all, it is up to us to learn how to control that hatred by living up to God's expectations for us and Beryl it seems that you did with this man of hate and i'll consideration , God gets His revenge in is own timing and His own way when and if we have the Faith in Him to correct these feelings one day and it does happen, Jesus says to wait for only a short while till he comes back or when we go see Him , im thinking both lol, sure we feel sorry only if we have a heart to feel sorry, another emotion but its a good sorrow for Jesus' sake. I feel sorry for my imediate brother of 1 1/2 younger than i who has sqitzorphrynia 3rd stage and so i take car of him as well as my granny here at the house, he suffered some trauma when my step dad as we were in high school and of course rebellious but what he did was put a 12 gauge shotgun to my brothrs head for not doing as he asked in picking up after this "so-called" step dad, an irish drunken fool, but i didnt have time to forgive him for he died before i was baptised, so i carry some hatred with me still but thank God for repentance right? Amen to that. Isaiah is the heart of God Beryl thank you. Its in God's timing not ours so please keep the faith and if your need more i would be appy to share some scriptures with you to get over whatever you may be feeling at the moment. God_bless you my friend. Enjoy your day okay, im here if you need me.
