THE UNPARDONABLE SIN
10/1/2007 2:44:30 PM
All sins are pardonable, EXCEPT ONE. Jesus said, "And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will NOT be forgiven. (Matthew 12:31). Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man (Jesus Christ) will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will NOT be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come. (Matthew 12:32,NIV). Submitted by, Marisol Sosa Andover,MA

Oh Thomas what a huge topic!
Forgiveness is something that I struggle with - I just don't know if I can do it.  Does that make me a bad Christian ? Probably, but maybe it just confirms my frailty as a human being.  I think it was Katherine who said perhaps its the forgetting that is the really hard part and I think she has a point - someone, in fact two people  wronged me pretty badly at the beginning of this year which resulted in my suspension from work and a long hard struggle to clear my name and prove my innocence.  Can I forgive them?  I just don't know.  One of them I can but the other.....
what shall I do?  I wish I could forget all about it and move on but its always there every day at work and I would love to merrily forgive all concerned and then forget all about it.  So to return to your heading  'Forgiveness - is it really that hard?'  for me it is.

Suzy, Suzy, Suzy, you can forgive anyone in your heart if you believe in the Faith that Jesus is calling you to do. Forgeting is God at his best, forgiving is your part at your best, God forgave you so why cannot you do the same? if you believe. Sure it hurts but thats where persevierance comes in.
