You are right, God is a God of Love. He is no source of evil. However, He does allow the devil to intervene in certain people's lives, such as Job for example. Job was an innocent man, yet God allowed satan to cause him untold misery. Why would a God of love allow this to happen? Why did He not translate Moses into heaven without sending him to the grave first? We have no idea whether God allowed the devil to intervene in these peoples lives. I will spend more time on this later. It is a good topic for discussion. But not right now.

Joyce, you have an unusual background. Tell me more about your Buddhist background. I don't know very much about it. The worst part of commercializing Christ is Christmas (Xmas), and Easter, both of which are pagan holidays and have no relation to the real reason for the season.
