Hi Nick,

I just wanted to throw in my 2 cents.

The learning curve for Internet marketing can be steep.

The average for marketers who succeed....they usually spend $1500 before making a dime!!!

In my own case it was much less ($500 to get started) and the success came pretty quick in internet marketing terms for me.

Nick it can be done by a regular guy, I'm an example...no more "JOB" for me.

No boss , no commute, work my business from home and have stress free days.

Lot's of  time for my family, we have a lot more fun now!

I did have prior computer and internet marketing experience, so had less to learn than some people.

The only other advantage I can see that I  have over people still struggling to make money online, is determination and focus.

Many people program hop, try this and that and never commit to one business.

I stick to my main business and anything else must be complimentary to my business or help me get more traffic to my main site.

Not making money never entered my head. Desiring, wanting success, and then thinking thru the steps I'd need to do to attain my goals has brought me this far.

I'm a lot like Nick....I like to think while walking with my dog Bailey, we saunter along the peaceful tree covered path that runs along the riverside, just out behind our property.

Nick,I think you are on the right track, just keep your focus, maybe start your own business or pick a real solid company /product and go for it with all you got.

Hi Jason,

Thank you for the encouragement and your two cents.

I have faith that things are unrolling as they should. I do trust in what I am doing, and where I am going.

In order for me to stay connected, those walks with my dogs are an important part of my day, as a lot of the material I write about comes out of those hikes. Being in tune with nature inspires me to improve in all aspects of my life.

Thanks

Nick

Hi Lyndell,

Thank you for your thoughtful response to my post.

I am conrfident of my way, but I do tend to evaluate and reevaluate my course, so that I make sure I stay the course and don't get off on one of those nasty side tracks that lead you away from the game rather than towards it.

As for the two rabbits, that's a great saying. I will have to remember that one.

Hello Nick and friends,

After reading this entire forum, I realized... again... that I have not learned all that I need to know.   I have come to expect this and have accepted it to be a good thing.  :)  WARNING:  I am about to ramble.

"An epiphany just hit me in the head"... it hurt for a moment.

I use to read many books on adventure and philosophy.  My life was full of adventure and confusion.  Then one day... someone challenged me to something that I could not find a book about.  Improving ME!  Shock!

I started reading many books covering many topics:  success, personalities, God, how-to think, what to think, when to think, why this and why that, etc...  These books opened a world to me that I wasn't ready for... what was wrong with me?  I was fine just the way I was.  Simple and busy with life.  My joy was intrinsic and I did not look to others to fulfill it.  I was happiest living on my mountain with tree neighbors, my horses and my all faithful dog Centuari.

I started juxtaposing myself with these authors and characters that they spoke of.  It did not take long to realize that I had not done anything great for mankind!  Where in the world did they come up with these words I used to ponder.  I WASN'T a superhero?  I realized that the universe was much larger than 10 square miles in the forest.  There were people out there.  Wow!  Hmmm... It was very different, because I was used to bridling and saddling my friends and riding them.  I WAS in control of my life.  But... with other humans... I was pretty much alone.  To comfortably be with them, I had to make some changes.

Thomas, don't think I didn't read your post.  God placed me in that situation to preserve me for the most wonderful woman in the world.  She came into my life and gently helped me change from a country bumpkin.  She helped me learn much about people.  I learned much:  sheets instead of sleeping bags; my morning pop-tarts were replaced with grapefruit and tea; speaking Texan was a foreign language to most (another shock), forks AND spoons! :) ... there was so much more.

The point of all of this is that change is inevitable.  Even those rocks suggested to be turned over change.  Once as a farmer, I realized that dirt changes.  If this is so, then we will change too.  We were not meant to sit and be the same forever.

You will become what you think about.  If your thoughts are optimistically of great things and your expectations are defined, you will have that eventually.

One of my greatest lessons learned is that animals can only teach us about love and loyalty.  It is people who will teach you about change.

Hi Joe,

You didn anything BUT ramble there, my friend. Your first sentence caught my eye!!

"I realized... again... that I have not learned all that I need to know.   I have come to expect this and have accepted it to be a good thing. Smiley

Guess you are getting what you expect and I admire that you see it as a good thing.  I don't think we are supposed to stop learning and sucking in knowledge. Every day I realize just how much more I have to learn.  I like to think if me as a work in progress!!!

"You will become what you think about.  If your thoughts are optimistically of great things and your expectations are defined, you will have that eventually."

Take the "eventually"  and the "will " out and what have you got??

You  become what you think about.  If your thoughts are optimistically of great things and your expectations are defined, you have that!

"As a man thinketh so is he!"

Hope you are having a great day!!

Judy
