This is a great forum topic Neil! I find all types of people interesting. If we were all the same the world would be a pretty boring place, wouldn't it?

I've listened to CDs about this put in several different ways. There's colors and animals to represent the different personality types as well. Most people are a combination of about two types. There is usually a predominant one though.  If a person is a good listener  it will help them get to know what a person's predominate type is and what their core desires and needs are. Then they can show them how to attain them with a plan that's geared to their type.

I didn't want ot rain on your parade. 

 You are aboslutely right that any one of the four types can still have an auditory, visionary or kinesthetic mode of processingand viewing.  I have a tendency to use both methods, though as I said the first time around, I have not mastered the art of either recognizing which of the four types a person is or whether they are one of the other three communicator tyoes. 

I have never heard the NLP term before, Neil.  Obviously an acronym.  What does it stand for, please?'

Am looking forward to continuing this discussion.  There are obviously some new tools for me to learn about here.
