Which is more important: good service or good price?
1/6/2007 1:25:22 AM

A USA firm did a study over the Christmas shopping season (Q4) and asked 1,200 consumers which was more important to them.... getting good service or getting a good price.

Which of these do you think was the result of the survey?

Hi Linda,

I'm voting 81% good service is more important.  At least I hope that's the result.  It is most important to me, anyway!

Thanks for the forum, I'm looking forward to the real answer and I hope I'm not dissapointed LOL

Much Luv,

Crystal

Yeah I believe it was 81% Service compared to 19% Product as well. I believe and from my experience with others and of course myself as well that Service will always beat any product. Most products are generally not bad anyway, but it usually your bias towards the presenter or the person who handles the product distribution that either wins you over or makes you look for another place to go. Humans thrive on communication and social experience and it seems that if it isn't there or it becomes frustrating we tend to divert ourselves away from the person creating the experience and anything associated with him or her.

Hello Linda,

Not knowing more details, like what city, near what store or where survey was done, income demographics, cultural census of the region and all, this is really poking in the dark.

So, basing my guess on how many shop at Wal-mart I favor my guess toward the 64% price and the rest on service.

Thanks for another brain drain, LOL
