Tim,

You and your family have been so blessed to have had such a special moment with your dad right before he had to leave.  It is never an easy thing to lose a loved one, especially a parent, no matter how much life they have lived here with us.  May the God of your heart comfort you and all who are mourning, as you go through this most difficult period.  Let your heart be at peace.

Peace.

Rick.

Thank you Tim for sharing a part of your father's life with us.
I lost my father in 1981 of a myocardial Infarction (heart Attack)
He was 62, a fairly young age for a man to loose his life.
It was very hard for me because I grew close to him
in the few years before, forgiving him for being an
alcoholic while I was a child.

You have his love and the memories with you forever. Grief fades,
but the love goes on. I have many cherished memories of
our last years together with my father and in this way he
is still with me.

Hi Tim My thoughts are with you in this time of grief, your father sounded like a wonderful man and it was lovely to read your stories about him, it helps to make us realise how precious life is and you are right about the importance of hugging our loved ones and letting them know how much we love them. It is lovely you remember all those special times you spent with your dad, they will always stay in your hear. God bless you from Chrissy

Oh My Lord Tim what i life your dad led, awesome family story! and i know it's short but only to fit in the forum. Your dad lived a good life for the most part and being a masonry is heavy work! haha' remember Jesus was a carpenter and he worked with a saw and a hammer as the late Johnny Cash put it in a song. Your dad seemed very much of a wild guy at times with a good sense of humor, the journey you had with your dad will always remain inside you, lessons to look back on and still lessons from them to learn in the future! 29 people around a table is a gift, good family back ground and wise choices to be so big. Tim i only know you from this awesome community and i would like to know you better, its such a great relation you guys had together, my wish is that i had the same with my dad, but i do have a strong one with God our Father and to me thats all i need really! I thank you from this Disciples heart for your courage and gratitude that you have and for your strong will. I gaurentee your Dad is in a better place. With love, God Bless You my friend. http://clubshop.com/cgi/members/tr3703815
