Hello again Mary,

Just posting to say how much I agree with John S on the way that people are introduced to AdlandPro - I would certainly like to see new members given a copy of your forum etiquette and other informative forums on how to use Adland well.  Although forum participants are only a percentage of the members in the Community, the content and quality of the forums does influence the advertising members, at the moment of deciding to invest their advertising budgets.

This is another reason that we need to show a quality "face" to the internet world.  We are "googled" here at AdlandPro - for better or worse.  And the better the face, the more effective AdlandPro becomes as an advertising site.

Saludos
Jenny

Marilyn, If you told those people they would never believe. The only solution is the delete and block button. No one can get "under your skin" if you don't give them the chance. Some very new people do not know they can control their environment here at Adlandpro . If they don't know about deleting and blocking they can become irritated and leave or push the "don't send mail". button. I know someone who accidently lost all the mail from Adlandpro and thought it a tremendous blessing. Solution: delete, block, and keep your private problems to yourself A business site is a business site.....let's get back on course??

Yes Mary... there may be at times to many "Happy Birthday" or "Awards" forums but at least these forums promote Goodwill and interaction in the community. But what is too much for a community of over 40,000 members? What if all 40,000 members were as active as those who posts these types of forums? What then? And is it fair to say that we have to many of those types of forums but not too many concerning Business? Like Ken said, we're all here for different reasons. I myself don't care to visit so many Business forums because I know that most are not going to be successful... some are just scams. I prefer spending my time here at AdlandPro as I do... promoting Goodwill and Friendships for a stronger and healthier community. One should get know their neighbor before trying to sell them something. I think it's the best way to do business on the Net.

Hi John, Glad to see you. Perhaps the article could be a must read but that would be an admistration decision. Ken has pointed out to us that only a small portion post on forums. Do you think the rules (guidlines) for participation here are obvious to a new person?
