Re: What brings you to Adland? People? Opportunties?

Hi Linda!
Thankyou for inviting me to this forum.
I log into Adlandpro to see what the rest of the world is up to. I have friends in the community, and although I've never met any of them, I can feel their spirit in their forums, their messages, their postings in other forums, their ads and I see this everytime I log in. I learn about them. Where they're from, what they do, about their families etc. And that's how I know what the rest of the world is up to.  Through the community.
Most of the time, I log in for a good laugh with the community.
I use to place ads...in the beginning...but...it sort of died a bit. But I'm sure the urge to place ads will return...one day. Until then, I'm going to keep enjoying logging into Adlandpro just for the love of it.

Hi Linda, It's definitely friendship that brings me here. While I do advertise with Adlandpro classifieds, it's not often that I do any blatant ads in my forums. BTW - either I've been away too much, or you're on a roll - I've thoroughly enjoyed all your new threads this evening! It's good to see you on here, Gary, and you too, Norm! This must be where the voices of reason all gather together! LOL! Thank you both for your comments here. I feel like some fresh air has blown in to Adlandpro... Stick around.... God bless, Dave

Hi Dave,

good to hear from you too.  Isn't it fascinating that Linda has launched a research programme that should be worth a lot to Bogdan.  Here she has identified the main reason for people getting involved with Adland Pro - i.e. the search for friendships - not necessarily business.

Here we have a product waiting to be sold, and I would like to hear from Bogdan what he will do with it.  The elementary article of marketing as we all know - is provide what the customers want (or need).  This market has spoken.

There are lots of lonely, even desperate people out there - looking for the warmth of human contact.  They will live with paid advertising from legitimate business if this is given - look at the growth of blogs!

Blow all the rubbish away by moderating the site, and even if a lot of so-called members vanish a valuable core readership will remain that can be converted into obtaining advertising revenue. There is no problem with this - nobody in their heart of hearts really believes in things being totally free - there is always  trade-off - even if it is only Spam.

If only people would get away from the money-making schemes which don't work, they would find a richness of warmth, contact, advice and much more than you can't buy through a piece of computer software.

I will continue a watching brief!

Cheers,

Norm

Hi Linda,

I first came to Adland to find new ways of promoting. What
I found was there were so many wonderful people here
that had things to teach me. I  would never have
imagined that It would change my viewpoint
of online business.

I have been in hundreds of offline businesses and picked
the minds of some of the most successful people in
the US and Canada. I thought that I knew most of
what business was about. I went on to be one of
the top Engineering Managers in the US.

Business is not about money or selling. It is about
people and relationships. I think I have joined more
sites from Adland friends than I have signups for my
own promotions but the best part is that I had the
chance to meet you and many other wonderful
people here. This is a work in progress.

I think we are all here to better our lives in one respect or another and let's be honest: we all want to make more money. ;)

I've been involved in Internet Marketing since 1998 when I developed my first website called Compleat Mother: http://www.compleatmother.com

After that I opened Wahm Search Engine: http://www.wahmsearchengine.com  I am very happy with the results there.

If I can impart one main thing I've learned about Internet Marketing it is this: nothing good happens fast. Sure, there are a few stories of people who earned a lot of money on the web in a short time. But for you and me, if you want to make a living on the internet like I do now, expect a LONG growing and learning period.

I'd love to hear about other people's experiences but if you have a GET RICH QUICK scheme of ANY kind, PLEASE do not send me information about that.

I wish everyone wealth and health and the wind to be always at your backs.
