Very good Kathy,
When I first went to the island of Kalamantan
Indonesa, I was warmly greeted by people
from the area. When they got to know me,
they told me "Americans and English don't
treat us like you do" and we all exchanged
hugs (which is thier custom when they are
greeting a dear friend)
When I got over the culture shock, I realised
that there was a different way to live and
get along with my fellow man. It is called
Respect. Something sadly lacking in a good
part of the world today.
Because our views are colored by what we
are told and what environment we are in
as we reach adulthood, there remains
different points of view, some of which
have no basis in fact. What we call
"Prejudice"
