IF we ever get over the notion that there are "races", the battle will be won. Because our skin colors are different means that our skin COLORS are different. When you bleed and the person next to you who has no melanin in his skin  bleeds,it all comes out Red.

Were you to need a heart transplant, you would not need to decide which one; Nor would you need to replace more than two eyes, or two arms, or one liver that all HUMANS have.

IF we ever concieve of the notion that WE have the SAME anctrestal roots, the other junk will go away. Intelligence isn't based on the color of your skin, nor is anything else worth talking about based on how you look on the outside. It is a shame that after 40 years we are still in the same rut that we were in when Dr King spoke his eloquent words. And the really sad part is, we don't seem to want to change. Stupidy abound and folks take pride in it.

When will we learn? When will we accept and respect each other for WHO we are rather than WHAT we are? When will we be able to look at another person and see a Soul rather than a Skin? When will we begin the process of accepting people based on their Character rather than their Color? When will we stop giving lip-service to ideals and begin living them through our actions. It is amazing to me that TV,Print and other forms of Media always show Homogenous Families when everybody in the world, including those who are doing the advertising know that there are families where the Female is of one Ethnic origin and the Male is of another origin, which would put their kids in the "other" catergory automatically. Yet week in and week out, there is no REAL charatezation of What America's Family Life looks like.

Until we can change hearts by educating minds, all the words that describes ethnicity in a demeaning manner. Come on Peoples, we can do this!
