Re: Do you read ads in private messages?

Hi Rudy, Yes, I believe any unsolicited email falls into the category of spam. I know many people justify sending bulk email to a list of people because they were told that list of people requested information about a home business in general... but that is a whole different subject, isn't it? To answer your question... Being a spiritual entrepreneur - to me - means using spiritual principles like the Law of Attraction to attract people and circumstances that contribute to entrepreneurial success. If I am receiving ads, then I am on some level attracting them... for reasons I may never consciously understand. For example, perhaps my receiving an ad prompts me to start a conversation about it and I end up meeting someone who responds and we become great friends - and that person turns out to be my long lost cousin or perhaps I will meet someone who is looking for something another friend of mine offers, so I hook them up... Or what if someone who responds to my questions takes a glance at my signature and says "I want to learn more about that"... so they click on my signature, get to know me, contact me, join my business, go hog wild and build a massive organization resulting in massive residual income for both of us! That is the Law of Attraction in action... and it IS in action at all times, whether we are aware of it or not. Thanks for your contribution!

I agree with you Linda, But I to tend to skim through quickly to gather the gist of what is written. However I do delete the ones that have not bothered to put my name at the beging I.e. some one who just copied and pasted the letter to send to everyone without bothering to put a little bit of personal effort in? Talking of which I have just recieved two. Best regards Paul aka soldier blue

I wish we could go back to the way it was beforethe change. It's just too much mail to deal with! I delete all ads then go back and start reading the 'real' mail!

Dear Linda, Boy, you have hit the nail on the head with this one. I hate the private messages from people I do not know who are trying to sell me someone. I never respond to them because they are simply rude. Private messages should be for friends to interact with each other, not ads. Thanks for bringing up this issue. your friend, aweston39

Hi Linda, I thought that only happened to me! For quite a while now I've been recieving messages like this (some from friends) and have been getting a few also in invitations to be friends. I think it IS better to get to know someone better before "swamping" them with your business "pitches". At the least you will be a little more receptive to what they are trying to "present" to you instead of feeling like you're being "railroaded into something". It's just like some "Used Car Salesman", all they are really concerned with is "closing" the sale wethere or not you get the car you are looking for or not. The ones that are a pleasure to work with AND deal with, are the ones that take a genuine interest in the customer and takes the time and effort to follow up with them later. In my opinion, the same practice should be in place here even more so. I mysel am more likely to take the time to look at something from a "friend" a little more closley than somethting from someone I don't know that well. Of course, as I said, that's just my opinion. Thanks for posting this. Keep up the good fight my friend, Steven
