Hi Arthur;
========================================
Not having a cent to scratch my behind with is not living my dream - it is the result of living my dream. Two very different things. ... I'm not saying I wouldn't like to be financially wealthy, it just isn't on my list of priorities - not even at the bottom.

The funny thing about forums is that it can be hard to get the right "feel" across without hearing a voice. (which is why I get wordy sometimes)
I think you're saying what I meant.
My mother is the same way. Her dream life was to raise as many children as she could. She just loves kids. She raised her younger siblings when her mother died, raised 8 of us, one foster brother and was an emergency home for babies and toddlers in crisis. We had a constant parade of babies to cuddle and love before they found permanent adoptive families.
Even in her eighties today, she works in 2 church nurseries when she's not doing volunteer work.
Like you, it's not that she didn't want to be wealthy - but living her dream put wealth at the bottom of the totem pole -- if it was ever even on it at all. I don't think it was ever a factor.
Money was just a thing that allowed her to feed and clothe the children. It never meant more to her than that, and she didn't much care whether it came from the farm, or if she had to go wait tables for a while.
: )
