Linda, I'm going to guess the projection of their own personality. I agree with Winston, that personal service is one way to stand out from the big guys. After which you fall victim to the "what have you done for me LATELY" syndrome, unless you have made a personal connection that goes beyond the product, beyond the service. Cheri

Hi Linda, I agree with the personal service. I think people would much rather be able to talk to a live person than spend the day on the phone hitting buttons to get what you want. I would think also that the little guy would have more leeway in pricing and sales. Thereby being able to save the customer money. Your Good Friend Deborah

Hi Linda, Great subject! How about offering something free - like a free ecourse or newsletter or report or even a sample. And most importantly, let people get to know YOU. I think we're really selling ourselves first anyway, don't you?

Hi Linda, Just thought of this one. I think Mom/Pop shops, Small Home/Family Business, etc have a better record of showing compassion and understanding for the clients/customers. They tend to be more willing to solve or address the concern. Big business are notorious in saying I'm sorry but there is nothing we can do. That is, if you get to speak to live support. Jack
