Roger,

I was so tired last night that I went to bed without commenting on your previous post, the one through which you replied Alain's post and which I was leaving as a final treat for myself - so special it had seemed to me. But now I can say it really was so special and moving. Thank you so much for the expressions used in it.

As to the videos, the one posted by Diane is not only funny and greatly enjoyable, it also is a fascinating snapshot of Dali's personality; but I specially liked the one in Diane's other contribution - Dali's biography here.

Hugs,

Miguel

Hi Miguel,

I just watched the video of Dali life. I think I can understand more of his odd paintings. I think something happened to him as a baby and it did something to his mind. At least that makes some sense to me. Still thinking about this.

Maybe I watch to much of Dr Phil, but he just mentioned yesterday about what you tell children, how it effects them the rest of their lives.
Dali's beginning would surely come under this, I would think he was effected to a point where I wonder if it could have been corrected at all.

Hi Myrna,

I guess you are right. Everything, good or bad, originates in our childhood. This makes such a good sense that I wonder why it is that it was not discovered earlier. I, for one, believe every trend in my personality or character had a beginning long, long ago, in my own childhood. And it must be the same with absolutely everyone, even geniuses, with their minds being still more affected than, say, those of dumb people because theirs for sure were back then all the more sensitive to external influences.

Hugs,

Miguel

10_1_136.gifHi Miguel and Mtrna and all,

With Dianes' introduction to Salvadore Dali on What's my Line, this has opened a brand new world of the man as well as the paintings. I have been delighted in seeing the man in action. I have no idea why the two videos that I posted did not come up because I double checked the URL's on You Tube and they were correct. I am going to try two more videos because I believe everyone will enjoy them. These are from a show called "The Name's The Same" which I don't seem to recall.

1st Appearence

2nd Appearance

GOD BLESS YOU

I pray that these come up.
