Hi Linda I'm sitting in an internet cafe and couldn't resist checking in. Definitely people can learn the habits of group 3, but it takes a special type of person to want to learn them. They need to know they can change things with their concious decisions and they need to have the will to drive themselves to change. I don't think will, drive and determination are skills I believe that they are character traits. People in in the first two groups, if they possess the characteristics of will and determination can change, but if they don't possess those qualities they can't change. Cheers Mark

Hi Mark; ========================================== I'm sitting in an internet cafe and couldn't resist checking in. ========================================== That's about the nicest compliment I've heard since Cheri's post. lol Seriously... if you check my forum when you're out at an internet cafe, that's way cool. ========================================== I don't think will, drive and determination are skills I believe that they are character traits. ========================================== I agree completely. The neat thing is that character traits are things we develop by our daily actions.... so they can be acquired even if one doesn't currently have them. As Aristotle said; We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence is therefore not an act but a habit : ) Linda

Hi Linda, I think that a lot of people are born with a natural curiosity and a take on life that is different from most people. But I don't believe they are in the majority. I think most people have a comfort level that they are afraid of letting go off. A truly successful person will always tell you that you cannot learn without failures. If you don't open up yourself to new ideas and things you will never succeed in what you are doing. Almost everything we do from birth to death is a learned experience. If we opt to not learn along the way then that is stagnation. Your Good Friend Deborah

Hi Linda, You are great.I appreciate the way you have put up your thoughts and supporting examples.I also appreciate the views of all the members who have contributed by posting their opinions.I have learned lot of things in this thread. To answer your question, The people from group no 1 and 2 can become group no 3 people if... -they are self motivated and, -willing to learn from mistakes. They need to come out of their comfort zones to do the exceptional things. Thanks, Jayant
