Hi Linda, Cheri Merz sent me over here to meet you - and I'm so glad she did! Wow, what a great conversation you have going here! YES, I have seen What the Bleep two times in the same weekend at the theatre and several times at home as I bought the DVD as soon as it was available. To answer your question about Group 3, I believe that anyone can learn anything. With that said, I also believe that we each come to this earth with a plan - a mission to learn. And the lessons we came to learn may include NOT being successful. If someone is willing and able to learn to change their THOUGHTS they can change anything. There is a huge spiritual awakening happening on the planet now and What the Bleep is a big part of helping to raise the consciousness on a spiritual level. The biggest thing I learned from the movie is - in very simple terms - that our cells can be addicted to our behavior. So, again back to your Group 3, if someone cells are actually addicted to the behavior - and attached to the emotions, etc. - that can explain why some people are not able to change their behavior to become successful. They are addicted to being unsuccessful. And... I believe that most people fear success more than failure. That is another whole subject of course, and this message is long enough for now. THANK YOU for a fascinating forum... and thanks to Cheri for inviting me. Blessings to you all!

Welcome Linda (what the bleep?)

Hi Linda! You must have been here reading while I was reading YOUR forum. lol. ========================================== To answer your question about Group 3, I believe that anyone can learn anything. With that said, I also believe that we each come to this earth with a plan - a mission to learn. And the lessons we came to learn may include NOT being successful. ========================================== And, it depends on how we define success, to some degree. For some people, finances have nothing to do with it. Mother Theresa is a wonderful example of that. ========================================== The biggest thing I learned from the movie is - in very simple terms - that our cells can be addicted to our behavior. ========================================== Yes, yes, YES! That part really struck me, too. Human response and behaviour has been an interest of mine for years. Maybe obsession is a better word? (I can see Peter nodding) When we look at how the brain works, a person would have to first gain awareness of the response we're addicted to - and then work at rewiring the synaptic responses. Essentially, creating new addictions to different behaviours. lol =========================================== And... I believe that most people fear success more than failure. That is another whole subject of course... =========================================== Indeed! I really like that quotation by Marianne Williamson in your forum. I think I'll start a thread on this and cross refer your forum. Hope you don't mind? : ) Linda P.S. Thanks, Cheri!

Hi Linda, I am a man... I can change... ...if I have to.... I guess.... :) LOL! IMO the nature of group three people is learned. Those who seem to fit into group three by "nature" or "birth" may have some genetic predisposition to be more agressive and less afraid of choice, but it also has a lot to do with their upbringing. For example, in my own life, it was very, very hard to speak in public or even to be in a large group for many years. Now I thoroughly enjoy and thrive on public speaking. But that didn't happen until I was in my late twenties. For years I tried and prayed; then it became not only possible to do, but something I enjoyed. If I had given up, it would not have been possible to learn or achieve. Our four children, on the other hand, have been raised in dance and musical theatre, and have no problem performing, singing, or speaking in public. It's not that they have some genetic predisposition to it; their mother is NOT comfortable performing in public and they ARE my kids :) , but it's that they have been raised performing from a very early age and so have learned early in life to be comfortable in that situation. So, the point is, whether early or late, a person can learn to be a part of "Group 3," either early in life or later in life. As Winston Churchill said (thank you for reminding me, Peter) "Never give up!" (the shortest speech he ever gave) God bless, Dave
