RE: SOUND OFF ON ANY TOPIC YOU WANT TO.

After work has built up through my own Design and Website I have been able to

save for a new sonar with new down imaging technology, and mapping.

Looking froward for it to arrive so I can start designing the mounts and brackets

for installing on our canoe. Maybe now, I can catch a few more fish as in the past this is the only thing that we can catch.

Enjoy life as you know it and look forward for anything that you do.

The past is gone and today is the day I will make the best of it.

I am done living with the guilt and worrying about things I cannot change.

I have asked for forgiveness and I am sure I was heard.

Life starts now and it is from today and tomorrows to come.

This one was just too funny.

Hi Mark and thanks for your words of wisdom. I must say that is some fish in the first photo. :) Have a great weekend and catch a lot of fish. There's nothing better than fresh fish with hushpuppies, cole slaw and baked beans. :)

Hi Mark, Evelyn & All,

I gotta agree with Evelyn that your philosophy on life is right on. Since you've been here in Adland you've helped many with terrific banners (all for free) myself included and by doing so made a name for yourself. I'm happy to hear that your design website business is doing well and adding to your families income. Hard work never hurt anyone and using your God given talents have paid off for you big time.

I love fish but it's been many years since I've gone fishing and I only get my fish in the grocery stores or fish markets. Your catches are impressive and with your new sonar system those "poor" fish won't have a chance to escape your hook, line and sinker. :)

As a point of interest, do you take your cute dog with you on "days on the lake"?

Shalom,

Peter

Hi everyone, see how the right to bear arms came in handy for this lady. I love it!! :)

Woman, 65, Singlehandedly Stops 5 Masked Thugs From Robbing Her Pawn Shop (VIDEO)

Posted: Updated: 08/04/2012 10:57 am

When five masked thugs attempted to rob a southern California pawn shop earlier this week, they expected it to be easy picking.

But the 65-year-old woman who owned the shop had a different idea. She scared them off by firing two

The attempted heist occurred Sunday at Continental Jewelry and Pawn Shop in Garden Grove, Calif., when the men walked into the store wearing masks and hoods, KCAL-TV reported.

At least two of the men were armed with guns and three of the men were also carrying pillow cases, according to Lt. Jeff Nightengale of the Garden Grove police department.

“They demanded everyone get down on the ground. They asked for valuables inside the store,” Nightengale said.

But the woman, whose name has not been released, wasn't going to give up any merchandise without a fight.

Surveillance video of the attempted crime show the men rushing to the front of the counter and pointing

After the woman fires the shots, the men can be seen racing back to the door, fighting to get out as the woman runs after them.

The SUV left before three of the suspects made it back inside the vehicle, The Los Angeles Times reported.

Police said those suspects were picked up about a block away and added nothing was taken from the store and no one was hurt, KTLA-TV reported.handguns at the clerks and a customer. rounds at the burglars with a handgun set aside for such occasions.

The woman's efforts to thwart the robbery aren't the only case of a senior citizen doing what it takes to stop a crime.

Otilia Martins, an 80-year-old grandmother in New Bedford, Mass., recently tried to stop two men from robbing her son-in-law's market by hurling mangoes and a bag of apples at the suspect with the gun.

During the robbery, one of the men hit Martins, a Portuguese immigrant, with the gun. But despite the laceration, she refused to go to the hospital to have her injuries treated.

This is most of the letter the Rev Graham wrote, click the link to read it in it's entirety.

Billy Graham: 'My Heart Aches for America'

New Letter Addresses Concern for Nation's Declining Morality

July 24, 2012 - In a new prayer letter Billy Graham writes: "My heart aches for America and its deceived people. The wonderful news is that our Lord is a God of mercy, and He responds to repentance."

Some years ago, my wife, Ruth, was reading the draft of a book I was writing. When she finished a section describing the terrible downward spiral of our nation’s moral standards and the idolatry of worshiping false gods such as technology and sex, she startled me by exclaiming, “If God doesn’t punish America, He’ll have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.”

She was probably thinking of a passage in Ezekiel where God tells why He brought those cities to ruin. “Now this was the sin of ... Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy. They were haughty and did detestable things before me. Therefore I did away with them as you have seen” (Ezekiel 16:49–50, NIV).

I wonder what Ruth would think of America if she were alive today. In the years since she made that remark, millions of babies have been aborted and our nation seems largely unconcerned. Self-centered indulgence, pride, and a lack of shame over sin are now emblems of the American lifestyle.

Just a few weeks ago in a prominent city in the South, Christian chaplains who serve the police department were ordered to no longer mention the Name of Jesus in prayer. It was reported that during a recent police-sponsored event, the only person allowed to pray was someone who addressed “the being in the room.” Similar scenarios are now commonplace in towns across America. Our society strives to avoid any possibility of offending anyone—except God.

Yet the farther we get from God, the more the world spirals out of control.

My heart aches for America and its deceived people. The wonderful news is that our Lord is a God of mercy, and He responds to repentance. In Jonah’s day, Nineveh was the lone world superpower—wealthy, unconcerned, and self-centered. When the Prophet Jonah finally traveled to Nineveh and proclaimed God’s warning, people heard and repented.

As I write, I am in the middle of a busy summer enjoying visits with many of my grandchildren and other family members, but also working hard on a new book that addresses some dangerous illusions about eternal salvation that are becoming increasingly accepted in many places. I want to point the world to what the Bible says.

Although age and health restrict my mobility and my stamina, not to mention my eyesight and hearing, I am thankful for the days God has given me, and I am humbled by His continued hand of favor on the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. The Lord draws people to Himself daily through BGEA’s various evangelistic ministries, and I am so deeply grateful.

May God bless you,

Billy Graham
