Helen I agree, people want to know they're dealing with a real person who is also accessible.

Hello Mark

I wasn't ignoring your comments about me putting my phone number and email address out there. I lost sight of which forum from which you sent it.

I put my phone number and email address out there because I want to be seen as an approachable and honest person. I have on occasion wanted to talk to some people online about the program they are offering and they don't want to talk and they don't want emails; they just want people to sign up. I don't want to do business with those people, would you?

I am aware that there maybe some danger in doing that. I do get some calls and maybe that is why but when I get to talk to them, I try to recruit them into my program :)) The same with the emails. If I get too many, I will remove the phone number and email address but for now if they pester me, I will recruit them or put them on my email list.

When I read this article yesterday it just did my heart good as I am sure it did a lot of others. This is one of the most hateful, hate filled groups, I have ever heard of and I for one was very happy to see steps taken to restrict their hate filled actions. Since this group lives off of judgments made from suing people who confront them, this should also severely restrict their livelihood or at least I hope so. There's more to see if you click the live links in the article.

Congress Passes Restrictions On Military Funeral Protests, Delivers Blow To Westboro Baptist Church

The Huffington Post | By Nick Wing Posted: Updated: 08/03/2012 5:20 pmWestboro Baptist Church protesters will soon be severely limited in their ability to disrupt military funerals, after Congress passed a sweeping veterans bill this week that includes restrictions on such demonstrations.

According to "The Honoring America’s Veterans and Caring for Camp Lejeune Families Act of 2012," which is now headed to President Barack Obama's desk, demonstrators will no longer be allowed to picket military funerals two hours before or after a service. The bill also requires protestors to be at least 300 feet away from grieving family members.

This aspect of the legislation was introduced by Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-Maine), who, at the urging of a teenage constituent, proposed new limitations on military funeral demonstrations as a response to a 2011 Supreme Court case that ruled such actions were protected under the First Amendment.

In the wake of that decision, many have turned to counter-protest efforts to block Westboro Baptist Church's disruptive and insensitive displays, which frequently suggest that U.S. soldiers have been killed as God's vengeance for gay tolerance.

Thousands turned out in Missouri last month, forming a "human wall" around a church where the service for a fallen soldier was being held.

Earlier in July, hundreds of Texas A&M students showed up in a similar effort, joining together to create a barrier between Westboro Baptist Church members and a military funeral.

And while not at a specific service, a group of demonstrators dressed as zombies gathered at a military base in Washington last month, far outnumbering and overshadowing followers of the far-right congregation.

Hey Mark,

Thanks for the clarification but I'm of the opinion that with the sort of web design you are doing you could probably make some money with your talent and designs.
Yes, and will come in time.

I for one am very appreciative of the logos you prepared for my joke thread and believe people will be willing to pay for your talents.

Yeah, dogs can do the unexpected but first of all they know how to swim
( not all can swim and it was, is, my girls little baby) and secondly I'm sure it added some liveliness to your day on the lake. :)
Yes, Mea was on a lease and was pulled back in and I thought for sure the canoe was going over.

I know what you mean by breaking point and I decided to air my views and opinions this time but after reading the replies I'm convinced it was a wasted effort.

Shalom,

Peter

Good Morning, this is just to make one little clarification on something

that I mentioned about work and saving money. When I mentioned Design,

I think it was misunderstood that my business is Designs. That part is just is an ongoing learning experience with Logo's, Image's, Graphic's, and Website Designs. I do this for Fun and

just maybe a little branding around here showing

new concepts and also sharing what I think is a very powerful Website Building Program. By using this with my Domain Name, (www.kalamazoohandymen.com) and Website Builder that comes with hosting, I have built a Website for my Trade Business. Electrician by trade and a pretty good general handyman and that is my main source of income. More and more when people are looking for things to be fixed, installed, and upgraded through the internet doing searches, they find my Website.

I provide a real service and don't have to baffle people.

I just wanted to mention this as not thinking I was making money from a

source where I am really not. That would be misleading.

Another one I did was for Julie's Business.

We took the little dog out once just for a ride and I kept telling Julie that the dog

would be fine and it was silly to put a leash on her.

Two minutes latter the cute little ****s decides for no reason

that I could think of,

Takes a flying leap of faith into the water.

She stay's on shore now.

Besides, she (dog) can't fish…

Mary and Peter

Thank you for your kind words.

I see I am not the only one that has a breaking point,

but decided not to add to it.

This is just a small little example

Hi Mary Evelyn,

I'm very glad to hear that! I think it's shameful for any American to protest at an American soldier's funeral. That's just a slap in the face for the bravery of the soldiers who protect our rights, the soldiers go through a lot of hardships, voluntarily, that most of us don't even want to know about. My nephew was in Iraq several times for 7 months each time, in heat over 100 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit, and they sometimes don't even get to shower for long amounts of time, covered with sand & sweat. Anyone who protests at a soldier's funeral and causes more grief to the families should be made to sit down with soldiers and listen to their stories, look into their eyes, and feel their stress and relief at being home, unfortunately, the ones who died are no longer at home with their families, and those parents should not be put through more hassles. Lots of parents of soldiers are in constant worry, have depression problems, it takes a huge toll on the parents, and the last thing they need is crazy hateful strangers at the last moments they'll get to memorialize their child.

Mark I wish you lived close enough to me so I could hire you to do a few jobs. Since your business is growing so well tells me you do a good job and can be trusted. Are you on any of the lists like Angie's List or ServiceMagic? My guess is you probably don't need to since you are doing so well. When I lived in Oak Ridge I hired a couple of guys off of the ServiceMagic site to install hardwood and ceramic flooring and they did excellent work at a reasonable rate. I found my lawn service and a plumber here in Florida through ServiceMagic also. I have a few other things that still need to be taken care of. I wish you continued success.
