Now this is getting scary. ~RebelJim here agrees with Kucinich. But we need honest answers, without the propaganda of the war machine. War means MONEY for many of the coiffures of senators and congressmen. They are the pockets of the Arms Dealers. America being one of the largest in the world. What would it do to the economy if there was No More War? Would governments go broke? https://www.rebelmouse.com/JimAllenIII/Yes_It_IS_Political/

Breaking News – 8 Killed as Muslim Terrorists Clash With Troops and Take Hostages

102 terrorists

The Washington Post reports that about 300 Muslim rebels were in a hostage standoff Monday with government troops after a rampage through coastal communities in the southern Philippines left at least eight people dead, officials said.

The fighting happened after the troops backed by tanks blocked Moro National Liberation Front guerrillas — armed by assault rifles — from marching into Zamboanga city to raise their flag at city hall, military spokesman Lt. Col. Ramon Zagala said.

He said the rebels were boxed into a Muslim coastal slum called Rio Hondo and were refusing to negotiate with security forces.

Zamboanga Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco said sporadic gunbattles had killed a navy special forces member, a policeman and four civilians, while 24 civilians, rebels and soldiers were wounded. The military said at least two guerrillas were killed.

The military and police said 20 residents were being held hostage by rebels in a village near Rio Hondo.

“Everything is being done to solve the crisis as soon as possible with minimal damage to lives and properties,” Climaco said.

Zagala said the rebels planned to march into Zamboanga, a bustling port city of nearly 1 million people, and hoist their flag at city hall but government forces discovered the plan three days ago and took defensive positions.

“We cannot allow another armed force to march around our cities. That is unacceptable,” he said.

TV footage showed troops and police forces in battle gear taking cover behind buildings as residents fled with bags of clothes.

The turbulence is the latest flare-up of Muslim unrest that has plagued the country’s poverty-stricken Mindanao region on and off for decades. It also shatters years of relative calm in Zamboanga city, a predominantly Christian region 860 kilometers (540 miles) south of Manila.

The Moro group signed a 1996 peace accord with the government, but hundreds of its fighters held on to their arms, and have accused officials of reneging on a promise to develop an autonomous region for minority Muslims in the south of the predominantly Roman Catholic Philippines.

The group later split into factions and faded in the background as its largest breakaway guerrilla bloc, the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, gained strength and continued fighting.

The 11,000-strong Moro Islamic Liberation Front has engaged the Philippine government in Malaysian-brokered peace talks, which have progressed recently toward a new Muslim autonomy deal. But a Moro National Liberation Front guerrilla faction led by Nur Misuari felt left out and has issued new threats.

The trouble in Zamboanga city began late Sunday when policemen arrested five Moro National Liberation Front guerrillas who were wearing combat camouflage uniforms and carrying pistols in Rio Hondo, the military said.

Then a navy patrol spotted a large boat and eight smaller vessels carrying dozens of armed guerrillas off Rio Hondo, sparking a gunbattle at sea that killed a member of the navy special forces and wounded six others, Zagala said.

The clash spilled into Rio Hondo, where bursts of gunfire forced hundreds of residents to flee. http://freepatriot.org/2013/09/09/breaking-news-8-killed-muslim-terrorists-clash-troops-take-hostages/#sthash.FAM3aqZH.dpbs

Reinforcement troops and police were deployed to cut off the guerrillas.

They must first disarm us to totally control our lives. This defends your First Amendment Right. What protects that when the 2ND is Gone?

Chicago Bans Guns In Restaurants And Bars Because Gun Control Has Worked So Well In Chicago

Darrell Steinberg,

You can always count on the municipal government of the city with our nation’s highest homicide rate to make wise decisions when it comes to preventing gun violence, right?

Fear not, citizens of the Windy City, your aldermen have your best interests at heart! Just yesterday, the Chicago City Council banned guns in restaurants and bars that sell liquor.

This is an excellent move. If there’s anything that will deter gangsters and would-be murderers, it’s an ordinance that prohibits them from carrying a gun inside an Applebee’s.

Chicago: You. Are. SAVED!

Cynical observers might look at this as an empty gesture. They might view it as a valiant attempt at limited gun control in a city that was smacked down by the United States Supreme Court for its unconstitutional prohibition of guns within city limits. They might view the council as a group of statists, still desperately clinging to failed policies that do nothing but restrict people’s civil liberties.

Ah, but we know better!

Yes, we know that Chicago recently experienced 6 shootings in the space of one hour. On the back of news like that, it might be tempting to think that the people who run the city of Chicago haven’t got an inkling of a clue when it comes to preventing violence within their own city. You might even think that you’d rather take surfing lessons from someone who has never been outside the state of Nebraska than listen to a Chicago politician’s advice about crime reduction.

But you would be wrong!

So what if there were 1,879 shootings last year? The Chicago City Council means well.

That’s all that matters, right? http://downtrend.com/brian-carey/chicago-bans-guns-in-restaurants-and-bars-because-gun-control-has-worked-so-well-in-chicago/

Politics: Democrats celebrate MLK Day

by attacking black people ...

And if it's war they want . . .

So how do Democrats celebrate Martin Luther King Day this year? By attacking black people!

Many of you are familiar with my friend Niger Innis, who is widely recognized as the voice of the Congress of Racial Equality and is currently running for Congress in Nevada’s Fourth Congressional District.

Niger is one of those strange characters who drive liberals crazy – a black conservative. And to judge from their current assault on Niger and other black conservatives with whom he is associated – including me – it is clear that they believe the black conservative is a figure so beneath contempt that it is virtually impossible to go too far in attacking any or all of us.

A press release distributed on Friday by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee lambastes Niger as radical, out-of-touch, extreme and all that sort of typical nonsense. I especially like how the people who passed ObamaCare and have run up more than $7 trillion in new debt over the past five years accuse Niger of having “controversial views.”

I suppose that when conventional wisdom backs insanity, common sense becomes “controversial.” Let’s have more controversy.

But they don’t stop there. In their attempt to smear Niger, the Democrats engage in shameful guilt-by-association by connecting him to two people with whom there is no reason not to be proud of associating. And I know because I’m one of them.

The other is Dr. Ben Carson, and we’ll deal with him first. The Democrats attack Niger for agreeing with Dr. Carson when he said “white liberals are the most racist people out there.” That statement is the truth, and I am glad the DCCC called the public’s attention to it by bringing it up.

But having implied that Dr. Carson is an unworthy human being by virtue of having made this statement, they then go on to imply that Niger is some sort of extremist for saying the following on Sean Hannity’s show: “I think Ben Carson is a hero. He is a wonderful role model. He's a credit to the race, the human race. He’s an outstanding individual.”

Dr. Carson is all of this and more. He overcame long odds as a young person to become a neurosurgeon and broke major ground on the matter of separating twins who are born conjoined at the head. You would think Democrats would recognize the virtue in such a man even if he is not their political ally, especially considering what a fine role model this represents for young black people. But Democrats see nothing but politics in everything, so they not only attack Dr. Carson but imply that anyone who praises him is some sort of extremist.

And that brings us to me. In the press release, Tyrone Gayle of the DCCC says “it’s hard to envision Innis bringing commonsense solutions to the table” because he is – get this – a “Herman Cain acolyte.” First of all, Niger Innis is no one’s “acolyte.” He is a highly intelligent man who thinks for himself and knows what he believes. But he is a friend and he and I have supported each other and continue to do so. So why, DCCC, would his association with me suggest that his ability to offer good ideas is unimaginable?

Oh right, because this is the perfect opportunity for Democrats to recycle lies about my personal life. I’ve already demonstrated that the allegations made against me were lies. We don’t need to go back through that again, but you can click the link if you haven’t already read it.

The DCCC doesn’t care, though. Once someone has been accused of something, especially a black conservative, that’s good enough for them. From that point forward that person is “discredited” and anyone connected to that person can be tarred via the same insinuation.

By the way, if you’re going to have haters, it’s nice to have haters as clumsy as the DCCC. In their tirade against Niger, they mess up and expose the truth, mentioning that he “stated Cain was the victim of racist stereotyping” concerning the lies told about my personal life.

Niger was right. I was. It is a racist stereotype that the black man is some sort of sexual predator, and they were and are happy to see it perpetuated at my expense – even though it’s a total lie – if it means they can label a black conservative who threatens them as “discredited.”

By the way, that will come as news to the 4 million people who listen to The Herman Cain Show and the 4.5 million people who read commentary last month at HermanCain.com. The only thing discredited about me is the slander with which Democrats and a few frightened Republicans attempted to take me down. I did not become president but at the moment I would wager that I’m more influential than Barack Obama.

“If you like your plan, you can keep your plan.” Now that’s how you discredit yourself.

Democrats will never stop playing this tired game as long as they think it’s working. They decided long ago that black people are duty-bound to support them and have no business acting or thinking for themselves. Black conservatives are a threat to them because without the black community supporting them in every election to the tune of 90 percent or better, they cannot win.

So people like Niger Innis, Dr. Ben Carson and me must be attacked and taken down. A successful businessman who is happily married must be “discredited” as some sort of fool and sexual predator. A groundbreaking neurosurgeon must be tarred as a poor role model. And a man who proudly proclaims his association with both of us, while exposing the Democrats’ horrendous policies for what they are, must be portrayed as a wild-eyed extremist as a result.

You want war, Democrats? You got it. Keep attacking us, because truth is on our side. While you can keep trying to make insinuations about the kind of people we are, there is no need for us to make insinuations about what you’ve done to this country. Health care is collapsing, jobs are disappearing, debt is soaring.

Those are facts that everyone can see, and the most damning thing we can say about you is that you’d rather attack us than stop any of the insanity by which you’ve made it all happen.

"What we need to do is change the way people think about guns -- especially young people -- and make it something that's not cool; that it's not acceptable, it's not hip to carry a gun anymore, in the way that we've changed out attitudes about cigarettes. ...Over time we changed the way people thought about smoking, so now we have people who cower outside of buildings and kind of smoke in private and don't want to admit it. And that's what I think we need to do with guns. ...I've asked that the creative community in Washington... devote [their] talent in a more constructive way, so we can get at the minds of these young people. .... People who have credibility with young people should be on the television, on the radio...and telling these youngsters that it's wrong to carry a gun.... I've also asked the school board to make a part of every day some kind of anti-violence, anti-gun message; every day, every school at every level. One thing that I think is clear with young people, and with adults as well, is that we have to be repetitive about this.... We need to do this every day of the week and just really brainwash people into thinking about guns in a vastly different way." watch Eric Holder say this here - http://youtu.be/gYyqBxD-3xw
