Beautiful and sensual Kathleen. I'm glad you didn't forget to post it. :) OK I'm gone, it's past my bedtime. Have a good night.

I was going to post this here earlier but then got into the conversations about special people and natural products...here's one of my favorite songs, I love all versions of it and this is a new one from the past week on TV, it's stunning, these young women sound wonderful together and individually:

This was recently aired on the TV show "Glee" earlier this week, these 4 young women give a breathtaking performance of one of my favorite songs, "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" (I found the lyrics for this performance online, with the characters names below!)

The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face: New Directions girls "ND Girls" from GLEE

[Rachel:]
The first time, ever I saw your face
I thought the sun rose in your eyes

[Tina:]
And the moon and the stars were the gifts you gave

[Tina with ND Girls:]
To the dark, and the endless skies, my Love.

[Santana:]
And the first time, ever I lay with you
I felt your heart so close to mine

[Mercedes:]
And I knew our joy, would fill the earth

[Tina with ND Girls:]
And last, til the end of time, my Love.

[Rachel:]
The first time, ever I saw

[Tina with New Directions Girls:]
Your face
[Mercedes with New Directions Girls:]
Your face
[Santana with New Directions Girls:]
Your face
[Rachel with New Directions Girls:]
Your face

Hi Kathleen

Great story about Dave!

Amanda

I love your deoderant recipe. I am going to try it myself. All ingredients are great! The reason the baking soda works so well is because it is highly alkaline and germs which cause body odor cannot live in something highly alkaline or highly acid. Most of us are too acid systemically so alkaline is best.

I was surprised a couple of years ago to learn that our body makes sodium bicarbonate (baking soda). I also learned, as probably many of you have, that there is a doctor in Italy who cures people of cancer with baking soda. Imagine! The drug companies hate us learning these things. They don't really want us to die; they just want us to be sick as long and as often as possible.

Go ahead and sell your deoderant. We'll all come to visit you in jail, won't we, you all?

Just kidding! You wouldn't go to jail for making deoderant and selling it. Deoderant is not ingested so they won't be as concerned about that. Just start slow and see how well it goes. If you get really busy and have to hire people etc, then get licenses and such, but for now work under the radar. Make sure your prices are high enough to cover the added expenses when the time comes. The big stores may not carry your product but I bet many of the small ones would.

Hi Amanda

One more thing ...I would use only the arrowroot and not the cornstarch especially if you make it for sale. Over 90% of the corn in the US is Genetically Modified now and is contaminated with pesticides. One of the side effects of this corn is that it makes people allergic to it and to other things as well. Some of these toxins build up in the body, too.

Monsanto and Dow Chemical who make chemicals and GM foods should be shut down but instead the FDA is shutting down health stores and the like. It's unbelievable and sickening. Another institution that should be shut down is the FDA. It is not doing what it is supposed to do. But I digress.

Anyway, I hope you sell lots of deoderant.

Helen

Hi Kathleen,

The deodorant I made, I reckon would be better for James as it is unscented and I would like to made another with fragrance oil to lightly scent for me.
Funny you say, I should make and sell - this is what James said to me too when I was telling him over the phone I had found an easy looking recipe.
He even thought up the brand name for me.
The trouble with selling products under this Govt at present, there are too many hoops one has to jump through - they are just over the top with their regulations and even anything natural is just about a jail-able offense

Hi Amanda,

You could sell containers of that, lots of people want natural products. I've seen a lot of natural bath soaps and shampoo online, but yours is the first deoderant recipe I've seen! At first I thought it was laundry soap, had to go back and read it.

This is off my website.... http://websiteandlogos.com

Personal Websites:

A website does not have to sell or promote anything. It can be about sharing what you love to do with music, vacation spots, photo galleries, wedding pictures, slide shows, artwork, or just about anything you can imagine.

Business Website:

So should your business have a website, even if your business is small and sells products or services you don't think can be sold online? My answer is always the same: Yes, if you have a business, you should have a website.

Also, don't be so quick to dismiss your product as one that can't be sold online. Today, there's very little that can't be sold over the internet. Millions of shoppers are now online, purchasing everything from toys to jet airliners. If you can imagine it, create it, someone will sell it online.

There are too many things being sold, created just like you, that are not regulated.
I do not sell anything so I am not an expert on the details of this. This would be a hole new line of discussions related to selling your own products (or other) online. I opened up a discussion (in another network) about selling music online with out a record label and for independents. People where very helpful and I received what I was looking for and learned more about it..

It is is pleasure to read all your stories so much more then some comp. plan, income calculator, or how to go from rags to riches in three short easy months. I feel a little funny being one of the only man here, and sure hope I do not offend anyone. I must say that you all are pretty cool….

There ARE special people in this world. There's a man in my neighborhood named Dave, and he's about 60 years old now, he's been mowing lawns on this side of town all his life, I've lived around here for well over 20 years, and Dave is a recognizable part of this area. When he was younger, his mother made lawnmowing appointments for him, she found the jobs for him, and Dave would walk to those houses with his lawnmower and tools, and he had a lifetime of getting teased by kids too often, as unfortunately happens to lots of special people, but as he got older, the teasing stopped eventually, or maybe a lot of the kids grew up and the neighborhood just knew he belongs here, walking everywhere with his mower, some of his lawnmowing jobs were more than a mile from his mom's house.

What's most special about Dave? He remembers conversations from a long time ago if he hasn't seen someone for 6 months or a year, and is able to pick up the conversation right where it left off...and he's easy to talk to, and always has a smile and a wave for everyone, even if he doesn't know everyone's name everywhere, most people know him, and he recognizes everyone by sight, and always says "Hi, how ya doin?!" He has a firm grip, and doesn't let go for many minutes, it's not just a handshake, it's a hold, it's a hold that I've only felt from my grandma, as she got elderly, she'd hold our hand tightly just like Dave does, he's done that since he was a younger man, it's a handhold of someone who knows that they may not see the person again for a long time, or may not have a handshake from people very often, or may not know when their life will be over, or if people will go away.

What's special about Dave? His mom didn't put him in a special home for special people as she was advised to, she kept him at home because she wanted him to be raised with the Bible every day. Dave also walks more than a mile to church every Sunday, wearing a suit and tie.
