Myrna, I am so glad you enjoyed the video and here is one from last night. Can you imagine being that overweight and what work and determination it must have taken to lose all those pounds with still such a long way to go? I know how hard it is to lose weight but that is something most of us face especially as we get older and I can not imagine having to lose 100 lbs much less almost 400 with probably about that many more to go. I wish him well. :)

40-year-old minister Freddie Combs arrives onstage in Greensboro in a wheelchair due to his 540 lb. frame. He nearly died in 2009 when he weighed 920 lbs. L.A. Reid called his voice "heavenly." His emotional performance of "The Wind Beneath My Wings" earned him four yeses. Simon Cowell challenged him to get healthy enough to sing standing up next time instead of in his wheelchair.

HI Evelyn,
Very touching song from Freddie Combs. Nice voice too.

I remember him from being on Dr Phil. when he weighted the 920 lbs. It is great to see him lose about 400 lbs. He still has a few more lbs to go. I just can't imagine weighting 920 lbs. I wish him a lot of luck in losing another 200 lbs. Gee, I want to lose 10 and I am struggling.to do that. I NEED TO MAKE UP MY MIND AND DO IT.
I will.

Inspirational Quote of the Day
All men dream but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes to make it possible.

“ON THE OTHER FOOT”

Was talking to my daughter yesterday and our conversation reminded me of a part in the movie “Overboard”.

The main character of the story was a very rich woman, who was arrogant and rude. When she got amnesia she was taken in by a carpenter with 4 boys and made to believe that she was their mother and his wife. Living a life she had never and most likely would have never known. Once it all came out what was going on and she was back on the yacht, the butler who is now her friend told her “ Madam some people live all their life knowing only that one little station into which they were born....but you madam have been giving the rare opportunity to experience another. What you do with that information is up to you.”

Its a great movie which always, always makes me boohoo at the end. But it is happy boohoo' ing. :-)

But thinking about that, I was given that gift.

There were many factors at the time that caused my husband and I to separate. However during the 10 years that we were, I was able to see one of our major reasons for our separation from the other side of it.
Situations that I was in put me in that position. As time went on I was able more and more to see from the other side of the coin. It began to change how I felt about my husband and the issue between us. It began to open my eyes, my mind and my heart.

We all really only know our one little station in life, we have preconceived notions of how things should be and what should happen.

It is only when we can put the “shoe on the other foot” that we can truly see and understand situations from different angles.

Doing so will open ourselves up to really seeing from another perspective, to more understanding, more compassion.
