Hi Lydia, This winter was unusually warm, we didn't have much snow until January, and then it kept melting quickly. We had 8 inches (20 cm) last week and then the temp went up to 50(F) and it all melted in 1 day, that's not normal here! BUT when it's cold, it's very cold and windy, we're expecting more coldness and snow in a few days. This is a news video of the sledding festival, they show more video from last year, after the 3:00 minute mark. People make sleds from boxes, and some of them spray nonstick cooking-spray on the bottom so they go really fast. The video takes a moment to load up on the page. I should figure out temperatures in C. I learned centimeters so I guess the next thing is to learn celsius temps. http://grwest.wzzm13.com/news/news/66120-crazy-cardboard-sled-competition-part-winterwest The temperature convertor site tells me that 50(F) is 10(C)...that makes our warmth sound horribly cold! 10(F) here would be -12(C). Even horribly colder. I'm glad I live in F America! LOL!!! Today is chilly...probably right around freezing or slightly above, that's easy, 32(F) or 0(C).
