Hi Evelyn,

Wow your site is going great. It is so good to see all this action. I hope everyone con help this thing out.

If passed, the Stop Online Piracy Act, or SOPA, will ban the very architecture of the Internet and turn the Internet into basically another form of television. The Internet is interactive. It is infinitely searchable with links that connect the free flow of information and ideas to a system that can be navigated. Without that 'interactivity' the internet is literally just another boob tube. It's all a set-up. The entertainment industry rigged this from the beginning to destroying the Internet. This video explains both how they did it and how to stop them... Video: http://www.brasschecktv.com/page/6341.html
Thanks for listening, and help.

Wow guys, here I go off for some much needed shopping for a little while and come back to these two GREAT poems. I am honored that you all chose my forum to introduce them to everyone. I sincerely thank the two of you, Mike and Roger. Both of you did a wonderful job in composing these. Again thank you. :)

10_1_136.gifHi Evelyn,
Thank you. It is funny that you used the term "Things Money Can't Buy" because a few years ago, after Shirley opened my eyes to the world around me, I wrote a poem called "Things That Money Can't By" This poem was displayed at an event that was held in downtown Indy to help the poor and ultimately publishe in the Star News.

"Things That Money Can't Buy"
By Michael James Caron

I have found so many things that money cannot buy
The morning dew on roses' lips, and a rainbow in the sky.
Shadows on a window's shade-young couple's warm embrace
So many wondrous sights I've seen, that money can't erase.

Ocean views of milky lace, spraying onto shore
Gentle blue-green waves rolling in and out once more.
Cascading waterfallsdescending to the forest's emerald floor.
I've seen the crimson, amber shades of sunsets across the vast and arid desert sands

And heard the crickets chirping in far off-distant lands.
Each new day brings beauty in each and every way,
Colors blend and sparkle, and then begin to fade.
Our lease on life is oh, so short-when wonders do abound
God gave us so much beauty-take time to look around.
(Editor's note: Caron's poem won honorable-mention honors in Illiard Press and The National Author's Registry's spring poetry competition.)

I haven't written much lately because I see the sad and painfull expression on Shirley's face almost daily and the brightness has gone. I will get back to writing, however I believe my style may change.
GOD BLESS YOU
~Mike~

Cupcake Therapy

© Roger Macdivitt 2011

.

Cupcakes jostle upon their three tiered stands

Swirly and bright with their icing and strands

Coffee flows amid frothy chatter

Discussions about calories and avoiding getting fatter

.

Diets dismissed and creations consumed

The last few crumbs and conversations resumed

Lattes, cappuccinos and mochas with cream

A nice pot of tea and a marshmallow dream

.

Time to collect the children then home for their tea

Fix a day to meet, check diaries, agree

Pay the bill, not looking at total

Put onto the card, expenses, social

.

Tip for the waitress? She’s been very sweet

She was still very friendly but run off of her feet

Won’t be long, back here on Thursday

We’ll all have something new to say

.

Cupcake Therapy has really hit the spot

We’ve put the world to rights ok and pleased with what we’ve got

Cupcake Therapy now an international cure

Keeps the ladies chatting and coming back for more

Hi Myrna, yes this has far exceeded my expectations by a long shot but then too when you think about it, we have some of the nicest people ever here. The good far out weighs the bad.

I had not heard of this Myrna until now. There's just too much info to try and comprehend it all and there's more added everyday. I was able to find the youtube video for you though from the link you posted.

Great poems from Mike and Roger,

I wanted to expand on Mike's thoughts about things money can't buy...

Both of my sons have had a difficult time finding jobs, and so did I for most of my life, even though we're intelligent hardworking people...the job field in USA is more about what you've done before, and if nobody is willing to hire you to start with, then on paper it looks like you've done nothing, when in reality, lots of people are highly capable and would be great employees, and we've all taken crap from our relatives, but what people don't know is, each one of us on this earth can accomplish our own unique greatness, and holding onto that is what drives people forward. If people know what they are good at, and concentrate on it daily, not just for earnings, but to improve themselves in their skills, then great things happen, usually fame first, then fortune. Onlookers don't realize the longterm foundation work that goes in, they only see the results and want the results. None of us are duplicatable, not even in duplicatable systems, because we each have a unique driving force and our own charisma.

My favorite quote from the Bible is "There's nothing new under the sun" and most often I remember that as being the logo from a raisin commercial...SunGiant Raisins!

Well, I looked it up and it's part of Ecclesiastes 1:9

"What has been will be again,
what has been done will be done again;
there is nothing new under the sun."

Ecclesiastes 2

Pleasures Are Meaningless

1 I said to myself, “Come now, I will test you with pleasure to find out what is good.” But that also proved to be meaningless. 2 “Laughter,” I said, “is madness. And what does pleasure accomplish?” 3 I tried cheering myself with wine, and embracing folly—my mind still guiding me with wisdom. I wanted to see what was good for people to do under the heavens during the few days of their lives.

4 I undertook great projects: I built houses for myself and planted vineyards. 5 I made gardens and parks and planted all kinds of fruit trees in them. 6 I made reservoirs to water groves of flourishing trees. 7 I bought male and female slaves and had other slaves who were born in my house. I also owned more herds and flocks than anyone in Jerusalem before me. 8 I amassed silver and gold for myself, and the treasure of kings and provinces. I acquired male and female singers, and a harem[a] as well—the delights of a man’s heart. 9 I became greater by far than anyone in Jerusalem before me. In all this my wisdom stayed with me.

10 I denied myself nothing my eyes desired;
I refused my heart no pleasure.
My heart took delight in all my labor,
and this was the reward for all my toil.
11 Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done
and what I had toiled to achieve,
everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind;
nothing was gained under the sun.

Wisdom and Folly Are Meaningless

12 Then I turned my thoughts to consider wisdom,
and also madness and folly.
What more can the king’s successor do
than what has already been done?
13 I saw that wisdom is better than folly,
just as light is better than darkness.
14 The wise have eyes in their heads,
while the fool walks in the darkness;
but I came to realize
that the same fate overtakes them both.

15 Then I said to myself,

“The fate of the fool will overtake me also.
What then do I gain by being wise?”
I said to myself,
“This too is meaningless.”
16 For the wise, like the fool, will not be long remembered;
the days have already come when both have been forgotten.
Like the fool, the wise too must die!

Toil Is Meaningless

17 So I hated life, because the work that is done under the sun was grievous to me. All of it is meaningless, a chasing after the wind. 18 I hated all the things I had toiled for under the sun, because I must leave them to the one who comes after me. 19 And who knows whether that person will be wise or foolish? Yet they will have control over all the fruit of my toil into which I have poured my effort and skill under the sun. This too is meaningless. 20 So my heart began to despair over all my toilsome labor under the sun. 21 For a person may labor with wisdom, knowledge and skill, and then they must leave all they own to another who has not toiled for it. This too is meaningless and a great misfortune. 22 What do people get for all the toil and anxious striving with which they labor under the sun? 23 All their days their work is grief and pain; even at night their minds do not rest. This too is meaningless.

24 A person can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in their own toil. This too, I see, is from the hand of God, 25 for without him, who can eat or find enjoyment? 26 To the person who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.

Hello Evelyn and friends,

I am reluctant to bring in bad news, yet this is imperative that I do my duty as a human with a conscientious to inform you make aware of what we are consuming on a daily basis. This is far worst than I first knew about and thought I could avoid many products on the market by reading the labels, but as you will see on this video there is not much that we can escape from.

http://www.infowars.com/slow-kill-holocaust-proof-the-government-is-poisoning...
Proof that the government is poisoning the population. With their stated goal to reduce population worldwide, the eugenicists who run the world state have resorted to any means to target reproduction and fertility, including the outrageous measures identified in the 1969 Planned Parenthood -- World Population memo written by Frederick S. Jaffe.

That memo proposes reducing U.S. fertility via postponement of marriage, discouraging tax incentives for parents, encouraged increases in homosexuality, adding fertility control agents to the water supply and encouraging women to work, as well as measures including forced abortion and payments to encourage abortions. Many of these draconian calls for involuntary fertility control reflect some of the most controversial entries in the 1977 Ecoscience volume written by current White House science advisor John P. Holdren & population bomb scare-monger Paul Ehrlich.

From Bisphenol-a (BPA), to GMO crops, fluoride in water and countless other toxins slow killing modern society, the elite controllers have intentionally triggered cancer, disease and sterility while trying to mask their attack through "slow" ambient poisons that gradually drag down the masses as they eat factory-produced foods, drink public water and are bombarded by packaging products of all kinds.

BPA and other synthetic estrogen-mimickers are particularly harmful, and widely used in food-grade plastics, metal food cans, recycled paper & receipts, as well as countless other products-- as they interfere with the endocrine system, create gender-bending effects, reportedly cause male infertility, trigger early puberty, contribute to hyper-aging and are linked to breast cancer in adults, prostate cancer in children and numerous other harmful effects.

We participate in our own destruction through the designs of the elite via our own ignorance. Learn the truth, and the truth shall set you free. Read more on how to eliminate and reverse the effects of Bisphenol-A (BPA) and other toxins naturally.
